Detention(s)?! That’s not apart of the route!

Apart from getting 2 detentions (which costed a time loss of around 2 minutes) the run was very optimal as it followed 98% of the route.

I had to come back and complete the following errands at a later time: recover stolen bike, escort old lady to tenements, destroy satellites and rats on the dock. Additionally, escort Christy errand and spray new Coventry tags took a bit longer to do than normal as I to ‘deal’ with a couple of greasers during them.

Other points in the run that costed some time include: having to restart bullworth academy bike race as I wasn’t paying attention; missing the cut-off point for smash it up (as I completed destroy satellite errand in the same afternoon – this was suppose be done earlier); and lastly, for some reason, the go-kart mysteriously disappeared during the start of photography 5.

The save before Rudy the Red Nosed Reindeer was done just in case I experienced the ‘maximum capacity’ glitch that was occurring on every run attempt so far. Normally, this was game breaking but I figured out that I only had to collect the packages that were marked with the yellow arrow to continue.

I wouldn’t take too much notice of the splits I’m comparing the run to – they were based off my segmented run. I shuffled a lot of things into different chapters which explains why some chapters saved a HUGE amount of time while others chapters lost a huge amount of time, too. The run ended up been 11 minutes faster than my segmented run, which is great!

Some final notes: the game crashed (I did have silent’s patch installed which did stop the game from crashing every 3 and a half hours) during funhouse fun which only added a few minutes to the RTA time (didn’t affect in-game time at all really as I saved just before the mission). I reloaded the save to make deliver package errand appear, as it was glitched.
