This is a written guide from the video made recently about speedrunning this game. In the video, you can see footage with examples along with a commentary over the current WR run:

This guide alredy assumes you understand the basics of the game. Its best to play casually to learn item locations, and then review this guide for more details!

(this guide refers to any run generally, but mostly refers to the Wishes run)

	MOVEMENT & CLICKING (00:43 in video)
Use F5 and F6 to command the bottle if you do not have one/aren't using it.

Movement in the game is a bit janky and its important to get used to how it feels. You move with arrow keys, but your mouse  on the edges of the screen will also move you. You also have the magic carpet, which allows you to fly and move much faster. This is important for long stretches, but its also important to know when to click off, as the descent is slow.

Clicking is another key thing. Double clicking your left and right keys will let you spam it, and it will process your clicks quicker than just tapping one. You can use this when playing the recorder and exiting the flight between locations- or anywhere else you need to click out of something faster.

	STRATS (04:16 in video)
-Skipping dialogue. 

Formerly, we assumed you needed to exist dialogue at a specific trigger as in older tests it seemed items would not spawn when we left immediately. But it turns out, you can leave almost immediately- its just important that you let a bit of that audio start. The ONE exception is Zahira at the end with the red ribbon. As far as we have tested, the ribbon does not seem to spawn if you exit her conversation too at all, you need to wait for her feather to animate indicating her dialogue is done. Another caveat is that you cannot exit dialogue in which a character is giving you can item, like the gem from the Evil Genie. No matter what, you need to see that item pop up on the left corner to know for sure that you have received it, otherwise you don't have it.

-Skipping location flight. 

Similar to the previous, we thought you needed to sit through the magic carpet rides between locations. You can exit the ride and arrive immediately by clicking the carpet icon again. Double clicking with left and right keys will make it happen faster.

-Backwards carpet movement. 
There are time where turning around are slower, but moving with the carpet is fast. If you know there is a location behind you that may have a rope or a gem, you can walk backwards with the carpet to quickly round the corner without turning at all. 

-Clicking through walls. 
It was recently discovered that you can click through walls to collect items. There could be many more uses for this, but for the most part you will want to find all the peices manually because the location is random. However, the key places you can use it are at the start of the game and the end. 
The first is imad's book. Going into his store by walking to it and exiting it, will leave you in one specific place. From there you can look left for the book, then move right to check the two other spawn locations. There are only three spots, so this is easy to do and you don't move at all.
The last use is with Zahira's ribbon. Same as imad, walking up to her and leaving will keep you in a consistent place, and from there you can look for the ribbon. One can be seen with ease from where you stand, and then the next two can be clicked on through walls as you continue to turn right. Like the book, there are only three spots.
You could in theory utilize this in the rainbow forest when looking for the gifts, but the forest is already open enough its likely you'll spot the items regardless.

	THE GAME (01:51 in video)
-Market
In the Market, you want to see the square peices, not the gems. Because you only want these pieces, itll be easy to memorize their locations. You will also look for a Book after speaking with Imad in his store. Make sure to walk straight up to his door, so that when you exit, you can turn from there to click on the book. The book has three locations- one to the left of the store, one to the right behind the walls, and one further right behind you (refer to 6:15 in the video). The puzzle at the end of the level is a slide puzzle, and you need to skip it with a wish. 

In the next three locations, there is a magic thread you will have to get aside from the puzzles.

-Snowy Mountain
At Snowy Mountain, both games are likely to be skipped too due to speed and both are relatively easy peices to spot pieces for. There is connect four and a maze game, and they should be skipped with a wish. You will also need to talk to the Sultan, the Genie, and then Sultan again to get a piece as well. The best movement through this level is to look for pieces where you spawn. In front of you, then to the right. Alternatively, you can go from spawn, to the Sultan and to the Genie- pieces can be to the right where there is a gate and some walls and its good to check there on this path to the Genie.

-Oasis
At the Oasis, it is ideal to have the fish game with fish peices so you can play it. The matching game with orb peices is slow and should be skipped. You will also need to go to the otherside of the level to get a key, and get glasses for Gamali, which are always locked in the tree house nearby, resulting in another piece given. The best movement through here is to look around you at spawn and click anything you can see before flying over to the man for the keys. From there, work you way back to collect the glasses, the peice in the cage on the left, then back to Gamali.

-Rainbow Forest
With the Rainbow Forest, both games are playable, and easy to complete. The Butterfly game may be faster than frog jax, but you can play frog jax if you don't want to use another wish or you ran out. The best method here is to stay where you spawn, look for pieces, and then turn around to go to Omar who is closest. When you leave to find his item, do not move again and simply look for it from where you stand, allowing you to return to him quickly. Then go to Halima, and do the same method to find her item. If you are still missing things you can then look around for them. 

-City in the Sky
Lastly with the city in the sky, you have horse shoes and colored pegs. They can both be difficult to find at times, with horse shoes blending in and the pegs being in weird locations. It is up to you if you want to skip or play the games. Horse shoes is very fast, and I generally skip the pegs game as its slow for me. Barbie gives you a peice at the start, and you also get one by getting a ribbon for the girl Zahira. When entering, click on what you can see, then fly to Zahira to start her task. Similar with the book (refer to 6:15 in the video) start turning to find the ribbon. After that, look for peices around you can backtrack to the rope at the start of the level if you still havent gotten them all.
