Hay categoría de GC emu!. Apretas esa flechita y te saldrá https://prnt.sc/lyvUV2rDSm2J
If you have the game in physical format, it goes to the console category (GC and wii respectively). If you talk about digital, that goes to emulator. Both are in the same leaderboard, but Wii is way faster :D
Wii is a little bit faster than GC!. It's the best console to play this category :D
Hi there!
I'm making this thread because I want to let you know that Zener with SenhorX, discovered a much better GameCube emulator than the one we currently use (nintendont - Dolphin 5.0) and has more stability in loads and use of controller with good response.
In this link everything is already configured, but if you have any problem, do not hesitate to contact Zener or me. The name of the emulator is Dolphin Ishiiruka:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uyqJvlrqEITH0UdMEzp40pNYDKxhLixK/view this should go in the emulator's documents folder. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e6kyM_uFGwYjglaPMWb-6NiEJXLwKqOl/view emulator
If you have an AMD processor, you should change the graphics engine to Vulkan
Thanks for your time!
People used epsxe back in the days. If you have a better sugestion about a stable emulator, we can make some changes in the rules. We accept most of the psx/emu runs because there's nothing weird during the gameplay, but we know some emulators may have small differences. GC/emu is a good example where dolphin has smooth loads.
Never played N64 emulator before, but if there's a huge difference, it would be better separating emu from console. We did that in some Resident Evil Leaderboards because there's a lot of difference in load times.
If you want that, make a vote together with the japanese runners. They are the ones who are currently playing that version more than TWN and that's why their opinions are important. From what I have seen you are the only one who agrees, but the majority of jpn runners don't want to know anything about the tool. This is the second time you post the same thing and we already told you the solution. Good luck with the decision.
Hey everyone!
It's very important to mention that all votes are from RE3 runners only. This is the result for GL tool:
Total votes: 52 Yes Votes: 40 No votes: 12 Yes votes: 77% No votes: 23%
Before putting this on the leaderboards, we're considering using filters for runners who use GL tool. We would like to know your opinions about this, this will be discussed in the RE3 discord, once is totally decided, it will be added to the new set of rules in a better way for all the runners.

Meanwhile, please don't submit any runs using this tool, because it will be rejected inmediately.
Thank you so much for the community for being very participative :)
No problem! @silentkaster, we opened this thread because is always good seeing every opinion of active runners in favor to make better decisions in the future than only making decision between mods. Maybe we gonna keep the game without any external changes, but I wanna make that decision with opinions of current PC runners.
@silentkaster My argument was "I'm agree with the tool because gl/magnum RNG is always time lost for attemtps and after the change, game could be more "competitive" and "Yeah RNG in puzzles are unfair too and dealing with bad RNG is one of the most important skills in the game, but for me magnum/GL is just a hard reset if you try only Any%. You can still save time with bad RNG in puzzles and people with good movement can deal with pharmacy RNG, for example, and not losing a lot of time with adravil or aquacure, but the locker is nothing more than a "insta reset". When I said about "annoying part" it was just an opinion that I saw in PC runners and I understand it at some point. I'm thankful for your arguments and stuff, but your fight with Nevs was pretty unnecessary and you were acting a little bit defensive the first time. Like I said, my decision depends of the community votes, but I wanted to give my opinion about the tool. I'm not a PC runner, but I'm worried about the future for the RE3 community.
@silentkaster I'm not saying is an argument, I'm just saying I understand that some people say "GL RNG is annoying". You know I'm a console runner and I have to deal with more bad luck than pc, but I'm just trying to listen the PC runners and talking peacefully. Yeah RNG in puzzles are unfair too and dealing with bad RNG is one of the most important skills in the game, but for me magnum/GL is just a hard reset if you try only Any%. You can still save time with bad RNG in puzzles and people with good movement can deal with pharmacy RNG, for example, and not losing a lot of time with adravil or aquacure, but the locker is nothing more than a "insta reset". My decision depends of your votes, but I'm trying to listen both parts.
Hey guys, we want solid arguments, not drama or people fighting like childs. I know we can get a peaceful discusion here, thank you. I'm agree with the tool because gl/magnum RNG is always time lost for attemtps and after the change, game could be more "competitive", but the rng in puzzles can't be touched. RNG is part of the game, but I understand that gl/magnum can be annoying. I'm open minded to listen and offer better decisions for the game and community.
We'll discuss with @Julian tomorrow. I remember this case of last year with the story of "XiaoJie- XiaoMilan", the supposed brother and weird stuff in their videos (also translation). @MoeMoe_7 I believe 100% in you and I'm really glad for helping us to solve this problem, so we'll check your points with the run and also talking with a global mod. We need to solve the mystery... again...
