Yeah, it doesnt affect your game in any other way so go for it
I'm wondering if 64 GB of RAM and my current CPU (11th Gen Intel i7 - 11800H @ 2.30 GHz) is enough to run at least 6-8 instances of minecraft. I'm also looking for a pre 1.9 wall macro. Please help
It's an interesting idea, but given how much people reset for good times, they'll probably reset for good times in all five seeds to get the WR. It's a good idea, but it won't decrease resetting.
In case it matters, my GPU is an RTX 3060 laptop gpu.

of course u need optifine and optifabric for it to work and u also need the fabric api but it should work
I fixed the problem! It turns out that the problem wasn't the mods, it was the fact that I wasn't running the latest fabric loader version. I fixed it by updating it. @HRM_Speedruns you said you have this issue If you use MultiMC then go to your 1.8.9 instance and right click it Go to edit instance Go to versions Right click on the Fabric Loader option and click change version Run your 1.8.9 instance again and see if it works It should work with regular fabric as well as legacy fabric but if you're not using MultiMC then idk how to help :/
(Before anybody yells at me in the forums, I already asked in the MultiMC and OptiFine discords and in the MultiMC github. I couldn't get a straight answer, so I am writing this here instead.)
I tried getting legacy fabric to work with my optifine on MultiMC. I extracted the OptiFine jar as a mod. I checked and double-checked that I was using the right OptiFabric build, the right OptiFine version, and the right Java version, but for some reason, I don't see the OptiFine video settings.
I've started to pull my hair out trying to get it to work. Can someone help me here?
Yes, you are. The mod team unbanned them a while ago, so now you can use calculators to get exact positions of strongholds. The resources page has two calculators: the ContariaCalc for pre-1.9, and the Ninjabrain Bot for 1.9-1.15 and 1.16+. You can access the resource page here: https://www.speedrun.com/mc/resources
Alright ty it works with 1.8 as well :)
If you're going for casual runs, you could run 1.14.4. If you're trying to beat your personal best or get a top time, I recommend 1.15.2 because insomniac strats are so much faster than the regular trading strats.
If you want to see a tutorial about insomniac strats, here is one by Korbanoes:
I'm trying to use Legacy Fabric like you recommended but this happens: https://paste.ee/p/cLnoL How do I fix this?
um that doesn't help i don't know which reset mods and macros work
I managed to recently get 1.16.1 multi instancing working with a reset macro (was very life changing, thank you Specnr), and I wondered if there's a reset macro for 1.15.2 and 1.8.9.
The problem is, I actually haven't seen reset macros online specifically for 1.15.2 or 1.8.9, and I want to be able to reset fast on those versions.
Can someone please help me out here? Just give me a reset macro for 1.15.2 and 1.8.9, as well as the recommended reset mods for those versions (Fabric mod for 1.15.2, Forge mod for 1.8.9).
as long as you include the seed anywhere in your submission it's still fine
nice idea maybe this could be a speedrun category @KilleDragon yes you have to kill all 5 mobs with one arrow
editing your options.txt for fps isnt even necessary u can do it in your in game settings using options.txt should only be done to get something not usually obtainable like 500% brightness (gamma 5)
What I'm asking is if the macro is illegal or not And also Specnr recommends MultiMC for it but IDK if that's allowed either
Specifically, I want to know if it is a banned macro for runs submitted to the verifiers.
