Hello everyone ! I got my hands on the 0.4 version of the game and started speedrunning it You know me by now, I'm trying to challenge every world record and optimize the game the best i can. I just did a 2:47.26 IGT, and got lost in the pitch black phone section which is pretty funny lol I know the category might not be run again and it was month ago but could a mod retime IGT runs to RTA instead? I don't mind to keep trying and do a full RTA run which does end at kicking the phone, even tho it wasn't the rule at the time, but i'd like to have a chance to make it to the top of the leaderboard if i deserve it

Hey Patatoes, so you are right about the older versions not really being run again but you've gotten your hands on a v.0.4 so it seems it's still possible to acquire the older versions. In all honesty there isn't really any other active runners other than us, hopefully we can get some new runners soon, I know I'd like that.
The rules have been changed since back then and I want uniformity across the leaderboards if I can help it, there may be exceptions but fullgame runs do use RTA instead so I went ahead and retimed those older fullgame runs, though we still use the IGT for ILs, this should have been addressed by now but it has been updated as of now, thank you for letting me know about this and I hope to see a v.0.4 run from you soon!

v.0.4 have the 10 OG levels, and V.0.6 have the reworked graphics, gameplay and levels we have today, minus the sewer levels ( and the New Shoes). I think anyway. I haven't played it I just saw one run lol
There's the stun mechanic that was added with 0.6, in prior version you would just kill ennemies when throwing weapons. The "Feet Only?" stat at the end of levels also. You couldnt kick for one second after doing a double kick in V.0.5 and prior, and ennemies just needed line of sight to shoot you, instead of what we have now where they won't shoot you if you have'nt looked at them. That's about it ?? Again, I never played V.0.6 but if I had to guess that's the update that bringed the most change to the game.
I honestly didn't know about all those differences between those versions, thank you for clearing that up Patatoes!
Also you mentioned a while ago that you were talking to somebody from the freelives discord about making a tas for this game, do you know if they've made progress on that by chance?
I have not seen any more message from them for quite a while, they may have moved on to something else sadly.
Anyway it is not that big of a deal, my hope being that the future full release of the game will bring out a lot of people to join this community, including TAS people !
That is sad to hear, though making a tas takes a lot of work so maybe they just haven't gave any updates yet, and yes I hope that the full release of the game will bring more people to the community!
