With the addition of Tekkies in v0.8, a lot of the game has changed and levels like Narcotomi 3 can be cleared in less than 5 seconds with the Size Threes.

As a mod, I am wondering what the community thinks of Tekkies in all the categories. I saw a comment saying that someone wanted a category for just the Plain Tekkies, but I want to hear everyone else's thoughts first.

I think a category for the plain tekkies sounds like a good idea! I can see some people who might want to speedrun this game but not wanting to use the corridor blasters or any clips, it'd make for an easier going speedrun for those that might be overwhelmed by the complexity of any%, somebody was also mentioning making a glitchless category, though I don't think that's necessary quite yet considering there's only three levels that we know of the can get shorter clears using glitches

So we're thinking allow all tekkies in Any% and offer a plain tekkies only sub category? Works for me. Allows more freedom to the runners in that case.

That's what I'm thinking, the option would be there for those who'd like it, if we make new categories I'll surely be trying them as well, sounds fun!

Personally I prefer runs to be as 'pure' as possible- which for me would mean default shoes and no clips/glitches, etc. Just navigating through a level as fast as possible.

Maybe have an any% category and like any% "classic" or "glitchless"?

I just made those categories, we now have glitchless category, which allows all tekkies, and plain tekkies only category, which is also glitchless.

Hey, I was wondering if we could get a full game plain tekkies only category. I mainly ask this because I just did a full game plain tekkies only run and it wasn't until I went to submit it that I realized there wasn't a category for that lol

I think I can do that, makes sense to have a plain tekkies for fullgame, should be there in a bit.

The category is under misc. in the fullgame leaderboard.
