Cruiserweight in 8m 36s by
Description

The game and championship tournament settings are shown at the beginning of the video prior to the lone attempt.  The game settings are shown again at the end of the video after the credits finish.

Additional Notes:

  • My microphone was muted during this recording session to avoid potential DMCA entanglements, as I was listening to a YouTube video while playing.

  • You may be wondering, “What was the deal with him using splits from a 9:02 run when his incumbent PB/WR was 8:58?”  As explained in my 8:58 run notes here on this site, that time was achieved during an All Championships category attempt.  The lone downside of that happening is that my All Championships splits are by championship, not by match.  So, to give myself a match by match level progress measurement during attempts on this continued grind, I opted to start with the splits from my second fastest time to that point (9:16), which were Cruiserweight category specific.  Not too long after, I knocked that time down to 9:02 before hitting a nearly two and a half month plateau that featured a multitude of potential new world record runs that fizzled out at some point in the mid-to-late portion of each attempt.  Needless to say, finally nailing down a new world record time is a huge relief, as I was beginning to wonder if I would ever see sub-nine minute territory again.

The Cruiserweight Division is ablaze with Dragonfire!  Thanks for watching!
