Please be sure to switch back to the timing screen at the end of the run. It makes life a lot easier for us. Thank you in advance

Yes! Sorry for the late answer

Yes, the All Brushes category definition is "Get all brush powers and their upgrades"

In NG+ it's a lot easier since yen gets carried over to the next playthrough, and at the end of the game you get 2 million yen which is more than enough to get the PS and CB upgrades

If you do a run, feel free to post it here and i will take care of the rest!

There's a bug in editing series themes where there isn't a colour picker, just the Hex code for colour.

PS3 is the best for NG+ without question, for the NG categories PS3 is one of the worst actually. For those categories PC is definitely the fastest version to run on.

Due to lack of interested I've put All Games as miscellanious. If I don't get any responses to this to keep it i'll delete it and rename Any% (Beat RotK) to just Beat RotK. The latter is mainly because I dislike calling it any% because there's no true any% in this game.

NetherlandsKinnin116 years ago

Now that we have an accurate emulator i'm increasing the vid requirement of the main categories by 5 minutes. This means that for 100% it's sub 2:15 for MKU it's sub 30 for Beat RotK it's sub 1:05 for All games it's 1:55

Runs that currently don't comply will be grandfathered in for now.

NetherlandsKinnin116 years ago

It still need a bit of looking into before I can properly open them, I'm sorry for the inconvience :/

NetherlandsKinnin116 years ago

this is also a big reason why i'm very very very very very hesitant about making boards for ILs

co-op definitely seems like a category that more people are interested in, and there probably will be a category for it if it's a significantly different category.

As for Guess Star we're not completely sure yet how to categorise that so stay tuned for it. we might use the IL leaderboards function for it though

NetherlandsKinnin116 years ago

I'm not sure if there is going to be enough interest from people to actually go for IL speedruns right of the bat. If there are enough people interested and have done a couple, I might reconsider. There's still a lot to be figured out surrounding categories in the game, and what people want to run. Also how we want to make categories here, since it's very easy to make a very ugly leaderboard out of this game.

NetherlandsKinnin116 years ago

Once i finish the game myself, I'll open at least any%(though probably All Puzzle Pieces and 100% too, but i need a bit more info on those first). This is mainly because i don't really want to have the final boss spoiled for myself. I'm sorry if that's a bit selfish, but if i wasn't sick i probably would have finished the game by now.

I have been feeling better today though, so i hope i can open up any% tomorrow. No promises though. Once opnened you can submit your run.

How will it work? We ask runners to submit their runs individually using the form that's linked below. In case you want to submit multiple games or categories, you have to fill the form out for each additional game/category. You can opt to mention your preferred run/category, this is not a guarantee that that run will be accepted, but we will take it into consideration.

When can I submit? Submissions will run from February 23rd, 6pm CEST until May 6th, 11:59 pm CEST.

Where can I submit? The submission form: https://goo.gl/forms/8rwHX94Vq3nzLujM2 Submitted runs: https://goo.gl/Y7gJ1S

When will I know if my run got in? The cuts will be announced three weeks after the submissions close, on May 20th. The schedule will be announced on May 27th, during BSG.

As with any event of a size like BSG annual, a lot of work needs to be done on-site to make sure the stream will run smoothly and everyone will have a good time. As such we're actively looking for people interested in taking a shift for hosting or tech, or any other sort of help at the event. If you are interested in helping out you are of course welcome to.

In order to ensure that everyone, including volunteers, can get the most out of their stay, all shifts are limited to a maximum of 4 hours. New volunteers are requested to be at the venue the day prior to stream so we can properly instruct them on how everything works and on everything they need to know.

We're currently looking for volunteers for:

Hosting: Hosting involves, among others, announcing runs, reading out donations, plugging incentives and talk about the charity. If you're interested you're also welcome to help with runner interviews between runs. Hosts can also pick what games they'd like to have a shift during, we will still try to schedule you into a block around 4 hours.

Audio: Audio involves monitoring audio and adjusting audio levels if needed.

Tech: Tech involves setting up games, keeping track of the timer and all the involving software, making sure everything is properly cropped and just in general making sure the stream keeps running smoothly.

Other: Aside from all the stream-related there are plenty of other things that will need help. Stuff like cooking, cleaning, first aid, picking people up, driving, and so on. If there are any such things you'd be interested in helping, feel free to let us know as well.

In case you are interested in helping out, you can fill out this form: https://goo.gl/forms/9gwJhoagRdpNs3yF3

Entry fee Because of the difference in venue you will have to pay your tickets at the venue itself. The people at the venue will handle this themselves. Tickets will be €8,-, slightly more expensive than usual because of this.

Food and drinks Due to venue terms of use we are required to not allow any drinks into the venue. Both drinks and food are provided by the bar in the venue at very low prices.

Charity Our marathon is proud supporter of the Dutch Cancer Society, an organization focussed on curing and preventing cancer as well as helping relief the strain on the people suffering from this disease. As such you are welcome to submit donation incentives along your submissions or donate to this great cause during the marathon.

Runners from outside of the benelux We have had the question a few times if runners from outside the benelux are welcome so we figured we would emphasise it here. Yes, everyone is very welcome to join us. If you are from outside the benelux and would like to attend, feel free to submit as a runner or join us at the venue as a viewer.

yeah. I don't think the current format of srcom allows us to easily make stuff like individual courses(or individual helpers in HtH) work smoothly. It would just make all the boards a mess(even more than it already is) and I like to try and keep it as clean as I can.

The PS4/XboxOne/PC versions do not have the freeform KT glitch. It has New Game cutscene skips and equal controls and menu speed as the PS3. Loading times seem to be equal as well Dragon Orb with any kind of Waterspout is no longer possible
