Well jammy mentioned it had been done but i'm not sure where exactly he did the glitch to get to the gold key. Hopefully he'll stop by and let us know :)
I promised I would look into doing this and here it is! And its incredibly easy!
So another quick update to this: The devs deserve some praise because the only way to proceed past the bridge from this section is to trigger the area cutscene. This is only triggerred when you open the gate with the key making the whole jump pointless haha. So without further glitches it seems like a no go for this one.
It's not stupid at all, i appreciate any suggestions! But yeah i did try it but it didnt seem to make a difference. Seems like it needs a trigger to activate and i have a feeling the trigger is completing the previous area... :/ i havent done that yet though as i had to leave the game for irl stuff.
I managed to jump across the gap between areas using rhino but not sure if we can get past the bridge. Would like to hear what you guys think we could do here! :)

I'm having a bit of trouble pulling off the glitch. I'm just trying it on Sandy island. Whereabouts did you use it to reach the golden key? And do you have to jump at the same time you shoot the rhino?
All fixed! And youre saying the next step is finding a way to avoid gorilla in the last section of sandy island eh? I'll def have to play around with this too just to see. For the most part the devs did a decent job of avoiding skipping the game. The glitch you found is honestly the first real glitch i've seen lol
Could probably consider a glitched/glitchless split eventually but i'll hold off for now while theres nothing too game breaking yet. (Famous last words?) We'll see haha
This is such a cool find, good job! Now i wonder if it can be used anywhere else or with other bankimal mounts too.
I believe it had something to do with some load screens being stored in memory for digital versions so they would load faster without a full game close and reopen. This would give some amount of unfair advantage. Im sure theres more to it though.
That's right. You can start from a pre made file now to avoid having to manip the egg pattern every time. You do still have to include launching the game from the Switch Home screen in the recording though.
Since a recent discovery by Flockdjur was made allowing ACE to be achievable on console, the old Any% ACE category has been removed. Apologies to any runners that had times submitted, it was deleted to avoid confusion between the old and new ACE.
The old Any% ACE category was exclusive to Gambatte emulator and so was never really official. It was kept around mainly because it was interesting. Not to worry though! With the new ACE category comes new run possibilities to truly push LADX as low as it can go!
Any% has been split into 2 tabs with both ACE and No ACE so that runners will have a choice which route they wish to run and submit times to.

There seems to be a run for save the guy already using any% rules so it's likely to just follow that ruleset. In terms of racing it, all participants can just agree to no ww/oob/doghouse beforehand for a longer and probably more interesting to watch race.
Even though it's what I started on, I wouldn't recommend starting with the true any% category just because it can burn you out fast and also kinda hinders you on learning the other much longer categories. I went months without learning the main category just because it was so different to the thing I had learned first. So Any% No S+Q/WW/OoB or 100% is an awesome start point.
It isn't a legitimate trick if it cannot be performed on console or virtual console.
