"This is an actual run which is not edited in any way shape or form, if you would like any explanation for what happens I am glad to have a chat.
hey guys in this video i will be attempting the harsh world record run for the game lethal league blaze and the arcade gamemode. this record is held by a runner of the name based registeel at a time of 10:54. i fortunately had very good luck with the game and was able to pull of an INSANE time. can't wait to see future runs of this game come out as this amazing community grows"
Hey everyone,
I've been over Elmo's ABC for GB and now I found this game and I'm looking forward to running it :)
I have this tradition of making website resources if the game I'm running doesn't have them, so hopefully this can be helpfull to making the page prettier,
Wish everyone a good day!
Hey everyone,
I enjoy making website resources for speedrun.com and recently I saw this game and ended up here,
If there's anything that doesn't feel well I can change it as much as you'd like, hope it helps make the page pretty,
Have a wonderful day!
Hey everyone,
Recently I've noticed how in several of my runs, I've been able to completely skip the scene in between each match
This one:
When I run I mash escape and enter, and that seems to give inconsistent results.
If anyone could confirm if they ever been able to do this, and if so any information about the occurrence could really help shave off a good minute off our runs,
thank you, and good luck on future runs everyone.
I love making these. Hope they're useful and meme-worthy
I recently got interested in this game, so I researched a bit and found a few things that can be improved
https://www.speedrun.com/Elmos_ABCs/guide/4czal
I'd like to know what you guys think, and if I should look into some other aspect of the run.
thank you
Hey everyone, I understand that the speedrun of Fortified Zone itself is some sort of a meme by now, and the page here in sr.com reflects that.
But with my submission, I was unsure to what frame I should time it; and well... normally on the rules of the game that information is present...
I'd be thankful if someone could tell me the information I need, but I noticed I'm not the first person to have questions regarding the speedrun that go by unanswered due to how the page in the website is laid out. ( https://www.speedrun.com/Fortified_Zone/thread/2j3el )
I've worked in making assets for several other speedrun.com pages, things like custom "speedrun.com" logos, 1st/2nd/3rd/4th icons, backgrounds, etc.
Is there a change I could help this page look more user friendly? Alongside changing the rules to reflect what the runners need to know?
Hey everyone,
I just recently started running this game to prepare for the upcoming marathon Tiny Ten Remix: www.gbrunners.com/tiny-ten-remix
And as I've done with other speedrun websites, I wanted to give a hand in making it look preety.
Here's the album with all the images: www.imgur.com/a/LWSLT
Hope it's helpfull!
Hey guys, sorry to bother once more,
I noticed that on the current WR and on my run the cutscenes are slightly different
I understand I'm running the game on an emulator, with the USA version of the game, and the current WR is being played on a Nintendo DS,
but, is there any knowledge on which version is faster or maybe the reason why the cutscenes are different?
I made a video comparison of my run and the current WR
Hey guys, sorry to bother;
As I submitted my first run to the leaderboards, I was uncertain on how the timing worked, how it starts and where it stops, since it wasn't specified on the rules... (just to notice, the glitchless category rules state that glitches are allowed; I believe that's not intended)
So I compared my video the the current WR on the Any% (Glitchless) category,
From my understanding the timer starts on the same frame you press the "start game" button, and ends on the frame where Wario hits Captain Syrup with the Mecha Kuri.
If that is correct. I noticed how both my timing, the current WR and a few of the submission on the leaderboard are incorrect.
I am aware that it's difficult to correctly determine when the player presses the "Start" button using video editing, since there are no visual queues, but simply comparing the WR (by the runner Werster) with the current 3rd place¤ (by the runner Hubz0r), a noticeable difference exists.
¤(since the 2nd place video of that category has a broken link)
I have compared those two videos and placed a mutual timer just to prove my statement:
I understand this doesn't change the leaderboard too much, since how the leaderboard seem to be rounded by the second. but it's a shame to see that runs aren't re-timed by the moderators that verify the runs.
In my submission the re-timing I've made would be of 11min 19s 260ms, so it shouldn't really matter.
Sorry guys, but while I was emulating the game, trying to get some assets for the background I was doing for the speedruns webpage
I started a new game and was mashing buttons randomly during the initial cut-scene; And I accidentally got myself into this glitched room full of coins.
Does anyone know anything about this room? I'll try and replicate this on the cartridge of the game I have, but I can't do it right now.
I recorded a bit of what the room looks like and I placed on the description of the video exactly what I did, the glitch is consistent as far as I've tested.
Several questions have been placed to me considering the recent rules update, regarding the (now renamed) 100% category
I'd like to gather everyone's "votes" on these few agree/disagree questions
- 100% category, should be IGT since it's currently ran as a NG+ extension
- Players should be forced not to discard any weapons during 100% run, instead, they should menu them out between subchapters or during tactical resets.
- Runners are allowed to re-run subchapters if they forget to get something or if they don't get S rank
- When re-running a subchapter, players must run the full subchapter regardless the reason to why they are re-running it.
- Menuing is allowed in 100% just like any NG+
- Showing the menu in the beginning and end is just for verification purposes and runs won't be rejected if players forget to show it.
Just say which numbers you agree and disagree, and why if you need to explain yourself
Sorry for creating this unnecessary forum post, I couldn't find another way to come in contact with the game's moderators.
I've previously worked on some assets for SML3 webpage, and I noticed the Wario Land series could also use the resources, so I though I could lend a hand,
Hope this helps. Thank you for your time, maybe one day I'll finish SML2 and start speedrunning the Wario Land series!
Hey everyone, I was recently placed the question if the pause buffering done in the following video, is accepted as per the rules currently stand:
(Specifically at 2:35, 6:20 and 10:42)
The runner uses constant pause buffering of which I assume saves IGT time. (the runner does this everytime the character speak in-game)
I reached Zenix, and it was concluded its best to bring everyone's opinion into this.
My opinion, I think pause buffering is commonly used in speedrunning, and as such I'd assume it's ok to use it if proof is shown that it truly saves time.
Though as a con of my opinion, I'd imagine someone bringing this to it's extreme and pause buffer through an entire run, and that idea isn't pleasing.
Sorry for creating this possibly unecessary forum post, I couldn't find another way to come in contact with the game's moderators,
I've worked on some assets for the webpage of this game, and I thought they could help make it a little more unique and attract attention to it.
Hope it helps.
Hey guys, I'm volunteering to create website resources for games which website don't have them yet.
I'm refering to the website's background, game's icon, "speedrun.com" label icon, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd (and 4th) icons (and stuff I'm probably missing)
If you're a moderator (or know the moderator) to that page, feel free to comment it here or reach me through steam, or another means and I'll chat with you to know what's needed.
The pages I've worked on so far:
- http://www.speedrun.com/Roguelight
(just to give an idea how far my capabilities go)
Sorry for creating this possibly unecessary forum post, I couldn't find another way to come in contact with the game's moderators,

Just a quick forum post regarding what I found about the versions of the game available.
All shareware versions of the game can be found in this website:
https://www.classicdosgames.com/game/Capture_the_Flag.html
I confirmed that from version 1.01 to version 1.3 the layout of your units stamina is:
From version 1.4 the units are displayed like so:
Effectively, i'ts better to play on version higher than 1.4, Conveniently, the shareware version displayed on the oficcial website is the latest.
Sorry for creating this possibly unecessary forum post,
I enjoy creating assets for speedrun.com webpages, and I've made some for this game, I though they could help shiny it up a lil'
Hope this is helpful
