It would be cool if you added the ability to minimize the marathon forums section. Or perhaps embed them into a sub forum just labeled Marathons?
well your problem was specifically about someone trying to dox you iirc. which i believe requires proper no-nonsense moderation. i would say to ban anyone who harrasses you for now, and once you get a couple regulars that are mature that you trust. Ask one of them to help you moderate.
have you tried contacting the mods via their social media links? if that fails, request to be added as a mod using the leaderboard moderation thread in the Site Forum. Make sure you've made every attempt to contact the mods and that they've been inactive for at least 3 weeks before you use that route though.
you could try putting the laptop on the bed and sitting on the floor with pillows under yourself?? don't know if that'd be more comfortable
yeah, i have footage and can recreate it with a mouse macro, so the timing is consistent and it has a visual cue, but the window is very very narrow. But i'm also not used to timings and such (i'd actually say i suck at it). I know the triggers in one scenario but i don't know how it could apply to more levels. only 2 levels i've managed to do it in were similar in a specific way. idk if it can be done in other levels.
basically if you assign work to a worker at the same time he is turning a corner (though i don't think it works on all corners), he can glitch out and stay in the same spot and do the work from a distance. This saves time by eliminating the time it takes for the worker to run to the different locations. This can be maintained as long as you keep the worker busy enough for him to not return to the tent. and also upgrading the tent breaks you out of the glitch.
Moment of discovery
Finding someone to help you moderate your chat would help. Without that one person there to help, it can be very frustrating. I have dealt with a little harassment myself when I've streamed.
Backseating and lecturing can be an issue by you can always handle it by giving a warning and timing them out if they continue.
Having other people from the same game's speed running community in your stream is the ideal scenario of course.
Was watching a streamer play the poorly translated Vietnamese Crystal, (it's in English but was poorly translated from Vietnamese.) And I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any notable speedrun-changing differences between that game and normal Crystal? If not, It'd be cool to run crystal with messed up translations just for fun, and I'd be interested in doing so. XD
thanks.
A game I'm looking into trying to maybe speedrun I just picked up on the switch last night. And it requires touch screen only controls so it can't be docked when you play it. Can you record an undocked switch more professionally than external camera?
@veliØr
The mod said that if you submitted a run and the game mod was still inactive that they would probably add you. So there's that. Have you submitted a run since the first request?
I think they were just posting a link. not that they owned the cord already
the one you linked says it does all of those except Atari 2600. they list the Atari Jaguar tho. It's also only a 10 USD cord so that's not bad.
just make sure you have the correct elgato. The one they list it for is the Elgato Game Capture HD
what console are you trying to capture?
Not even Saturday yet but I have to do this!
My game got added yesterday on my birthday! And I just finished and uploaded my first speedrun to the site!!!
Did you find a difference related to platform, language, etc. that affects the speed of the game? Talk about it here so that everyone knows!
