This is where discussion of category additions will be.
Mostly just going to be full game runs of any% and IL runs for the 30 levels. As of right now there doesn't seem to be much else you could do with the game other than an intentionally long "skip no dialogue" category.
Will have a full run up sometime this weekend. estimating 2.5-2.75 hours!! I think it can go sub 2 hours. I also already have a time saving glitch in the game but it's pretty hard to get the timing right and I don't fully understand it yet. XD
I agree that there are more important and impactful features under development.
Doesn't mean a like button isn't a good idea. Just means it's a low priority idea.
I love the idea of positivity through likes.
Good morning Saturday!
With Irma, bearing down on Florida as I type, finding positive moments at times like this is important.
My mom's birthday is this weekend, and I'm visiting her for the party. I've submitted my senior design project proposal for college to design and build an acceleration feedback system for immersive VR. I got the new Mario x Rabbids game and can't wait to see the speed tech for it, but still am working my way through my first playthrough.
Hope everyone finds their positive moments this week!!
cycles could be related to the processor cycle speed. Like a 2.5GHz processor versus a 1.5GHz processor. other than that, i don't know anything else that could help you
I see your questions come up alot. And honestly I love it. But I'm a person with a hardon for UI design so hearing you having trouble with the site is just teaching me things....
Also, you aren't afraid to ask questions. That immediately earns you respect in my book because so many people don't ask questions when they should...
If something on this website is hard to understand, remember, it's the design at fault, not you.
is it a problem with bad internet then?
Step 1) find game you like to play Step 2) record a play-through of that game going as fast as you can Step 3) check to see if game is on this website If yes to step 3 - submit run for moderator verification if no to step 3 - request the game be added to the site and link your run.
step 4) repeat
yeah, the second one would've been harder to see if you guys had a signature system for the forums. but since you don't the two line tag at the end of the posts was a red flag for me.
They also posted like 4 posts in rapid succession like an eager new user who had alot of questions
https://www.speedrun.com/user/hirad1 maybe a bot? links to some website at the end of every message. posts seem to sound the same.
https://www.speedrun.com/user/JoeClark Maybe a bot? or just someone linking to their blog or something in every single post they make other than the very first one.
if you are okay doing running without a timer, I believe you can stream straight to twitch from XBone. but you can't control the layout or anything. I would advise using that option if money is too tight to buy a capture card.
If you stream to twitch, they keep your vods. so you can use that to submit runs
If you've already been in contact with Gyoo and ROMmaster2, why are you bringing this out to a public thread? I'm not going to comment on the series of events, just that you've already established contact with full mods, so there is no need to go so public with this issue.
I feel like posting this here is just going to hurt your case more than help it.
Hope the game gets added and attracts runners tho. No matter who moderates it, having a game added to the site to begin with is the biggest hurdle. Good luck! :)
ask the moderators of the game, but usually camera footage (especially of 2DS and 3DS since they are hard to capture), is accepted. You don't have to have a timer in the video but many moderators say that it makes their job easier.
WHOOPS! I missed my Saturday post!!!
Was busying doing my positive things!
- Watching my first GDQ marathon live
- finally got the confidence and technique down enough to do line art with my drawing tablet on PC. I'm so used to looking at the canvas with paper and pencil and when i drew on my ipad that the transition is tough. But I'm finally doing the line work for something i sketched up and planned out like months and months ago!
I could see a Red/Blue - Yellow - Gold/Silver - Crystal any% glitchless 4-person relay. I don't keep up with the pokemon speedrunning community but I'd watch that.
Like i could see a generation marathon for just any%. like just do red, blue, and yellow, as gen 1 marathon. That would be a reasonable series run? right?
only if the mods say that you can't pause your timer for breaks during a run. If i was modding a category over 5 or 6 hours i would def allow long pausing for food, restroom, etc... for an hour or two run you can do that without needing a long break (more than a minute break)...
I say this having no experience running anything at all. still working up the stamina for my first run which will be around 2.5 hours
