it took a little while longer than some of you may have expected but now the time has come.

All categories have been reopened and the old ones are now soft archived under the little arrow button on the leaderboard overview. Feel free to grind out your times again.

Since it was mentioned on the Discord there are considerations to be made towards a 100% category since some of the new content is optional. There will most likely be another discussion around this topic and a vote following soon.

Hello Bros,

all legacy categories are now soft archived as Misc. categories to preserve some history of runs.

This coming weekend we're looking to create the new categories, which will feature new load removed times and start differences for Arcade and Campaign mode. But since the votes on Discord were quite close the time to make those choices was extended until friday.

As the 8th of August approaches the moderation team has decided that because of the final Broforce update (link here) there will be a short lockout period for new submissions as we determine how the changes to the game impact the categories.

From what we know so far it is likely that the current leaderboards will have to be archived as Freelives are adding new content to the game as well as potentially fixing some speedrun tricks used.

Still we're looking forward to this new update since it's a long time coming and new content includes Bros too (which may bring new strategies to the table).

We'll try to keep the lockout period as short as possible but as with everything please be patient with us. The lockout period will start tomorrow at 8pm UTC+1.
