Here's a story:

We had a runner called "ThePope" or "PopeFrancis" or something like that, with the Pope profile picture. He even had a discord and was in our community discord.

Here's the problem: He had a top time. Like, when this occurred, top 20, if not top 10, out of over 100 players.

Obviously it had to be a top runner of our game. We analyzed the run and looked for different things that the runner did that made it stand out. Each runner had their own mark on their runs, so to speak. They mashed in a specific way, they did the skips in a specific input order, they did or did not do specific swag strats. We could reasonably figure out which run belonged to which runner depending on how they played the game.

This runner combined every single top runner's mark. They changed up their mashing to reflect one top runner, they changed how they did their skips to another top runner, and so on and so forth. We had zero idea who this was! And this went on for MONTHS. He just kept submitting more top times with varying marks so we could never figure out who it was.

One day my friend, who was a top runner, gave me the login information for both ThePope's discord and its sr.c account and told me to go nuts. He gave this information to about 10 other people in the community.

And The Pope was never heard from again.
