Ao Oni is great, hope you continue with the RPGMaker trend. The community welcomes you!
I read a lot. I also like roller skating, but it's been difficult to go until very recently.
The moderators are currently working with the community in the Discord to decide what we should be doing about categories. If you'd like to be apart of that discussion, I'd recommend joining it: https://discord.com/invite/N5fv4kEwsB
There's multiple games I remember being "my first game". I played tons of educational computer games as a child but none of them particularly stick out to me, nor do I remember at what age I was when I actually played them. Same goes for Snood - I know I played it, but not at what age.
The two games that stick out to me is Mario Kart Wii and Bowser's Inside Story. I was about seven or eight at the time of playing those. Mario Kart Wii was a fun game to play with friends, but Bowser's Inside Story is what really got me into playing video games.
why can't the people that work on the programming side respond? I don't want to believe that there isn't a single programmer in the entire staff team that doesn't have enough free time to respond to those threads
They're kinda busy programming.
edit: shoutouts to merl for teaching me how to use quotes properly

None of us really give estimates or responses because (at least speaking for me and Meta) we don't know. I know literally nothing about programming and so I can't actually respond to feedback giving accurate estimates on when we can do it or if we can do it at all. Not speaking for other ELO staff, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were the same.
We don't respond? You guys think we're ignoring you. We do respond? We're building up expectations that won't get met.
The truth is we simply cannot give a 100% accurate and confident answer because a lot of us don't know anything about programming and the capabilities of the site.
And generally a lot of the things you guys are asking for are extremely minor. Would following a person on the site be really cool? Absolutely. But wouldn't you rather the site be more functional and available for users and game moderators before we do cosmetic stuff that would be cool but is overall useless in actually keeping a database for speedruns?
Again, I don't know a lot of the behind the scenes stuff, but from just talking to the other staff, ELO is trying very hard to make the site as functional and convenient as possible as fast as they can, and expecting everything to be solved in a few week span isn't very reasonable.
The main issue is that many of the contacts you suggested have no way of, you know, actually contacting someone. The purpose of contacts is to find a social media to talk to the person if need be, not to just have them there. I'm not 100% familiar with all of them but I know for a fact that it's impossible to talk to someone via their Nintendo ID.
The speedruns are so similar that it's difficult to justify a separate category for something that tweaks only a couple things from the main runs.
We may add them (probably to category extensions) if people show interest in those endings as runs, but at the moment there is no justifiable reason to have them as categories.
@magicaldre_mz This is pretty short and doesn't leave much room for optimization considering it's just a singular fight, so we will not be accepting this.
@Garsh Just want to let you know that all of those people on the list are merely past contributors and have no say in site administration.
Me and Meta are the people available who can help regarding those issues.
@JJRC You are right. There were no other runs on the board besides the false one by the moderator, who should not be moderating the board, so the board has been deleted altogether for someone else in the future to request it and take up the mantle.
@Piano_VII I don't really know as I'm not sure how much of the mod is completed/playable, but I'm going to say no as it doesn't seem to be completed based on the page.
