and i used to run crash 3 on psx fin for a long time before switching to console. i can tell you first hand the differences in gameplay are very insignificant. there is hardly a noticable difference at all. so unless like someone can find an emu only glitch or otherwise show me a huge gameplay difference, i dont see why the emu is being described as horribly innaccurate to the point where it needs to be banned.

so like on emu, an increase  of something greater than 0% to like 0.01% doesnt really matter cause the effect is insignificant, and its not really noticable, and people shouldn't really care. but if that increase was to like 15-20% then suddenly theres a big noticable difference and it should be banned. ya feel me?

well that is a difference in gameplay i guess. so now all i have to say is, i disagree with the threshold at which an emulator is too inaccurate to be legal. if crash moved at like 1.1-1.2 times the speed instead of 1.01 times the speed then imo that would be grounds for banning it. but imo 1.01 times the speed isnt that game breaking enough, espcially because emu doesnt gve runners a net advantage over console runners.

describe it in terms of how it affects gameplay then instead of hardware/software specs? i dont give a shit if console has 5 megabits of RAM and a superflux 6000 motherchip with a slimjim 700 disc reader compared to an emu with 7 megabits of RAM with a shizzwiz 2600 motherchip and an awesomesauce 9000 disc reader. just tell me how the god damn gameplay is.

all that should really be looked at when determining how accurate an emu is to console is how similar/different actual gameplay is.

You have yet to prove that the gameplay on psx fin is innaccurate enough to be game breakingly different to that of console.

Who gives a shit about all those hardware specs and percentages? They are meaningless here. The only thing that matters when it comes to accuracy is how closely the gameplay resembles the console. (load times also matter but because console just has straight up faster loads, who gives a shit?)

for one, all ps1 emulators have some kind of inaccuracy, some are extremely small innacuracies, but they are still allowed. The decision was made to ban only some emus and not all of them. This indicates that there is a line people draw at what inaccuracies are allowed and what aren't. I draw that line too. and I draw that line way beyond psx fin, and ive described how it really isn't that drastically inaccurate. This is why it should be unbanned, because unless you draw a line, by your logic, all emus should be banned.

1.) We seem to disagree on where the threshold is for when innaccuracy is bad enough to the point at which it needs to be banned, but unless its a significant game breaking difference then the innacuracy isn't enough to jusify banning it (assuming emu is a slower version in the first place). The only innacuracies that exist for psx fin are nitpicky shit.
2.) Wait until a game breaking thing is discovered on emu and ban it then.

Tell me how or where psxFin is inaccurate to the point where "You aren't even playing the game anymore? The emu's we're talking about here only have tiny inaccuracies that barely affect anything at all. If emulators played at 3x the speed and had slower loads than yes, that drastically affects how the game plays and should be banned, but we aren't talking about those.

Gpro that is an incredibly rude way to talk to me. Also you straight up ignore literally all my points. Your only response is "shut up, download a different emulator that is more accurate" without looking into whether or not the inaccurate emu should be banned in the first place, which was what I was trying to discuss.

I would like to see someone actually address the points I've made on this forum as to why some emulators should be banned. The rule change happened recently and I have massive issues with it. Please do not ignore it.
