I updated the autosplitter to hopefully work for 1.1, please test it out and let me know if it works when convenient

The autosplitter doesn't work with v1.1, I need to fix it but just haven't bothered yet.

1. Where is the category for Monsoon? Risk of Rain 1 has one.

Unlike in RoR1, here the difficulty level simply does not matter for any category. Most it'd change is you die easier on the first stage, which you would already be resetting plenty even on Drizzle. As such, separating difficulties is pointless. However, there is nothing stopping you from running on Monsoon if you like.

2. Can we add <insert category here>?

A lot of the ideas people have are either trivial, like a "die as fast as possible" category, not different enough from existing categories, or simply too arbitrary to warrant tracking. However if you believe your category idea is interesting enough to be tracked, do a run of it first, then bring it up. If people like it, it will get added to either the main boards or the category extensions page.

3. How do you have so many Lunar Coins? Are you cheating?

As is common in roguelike speedruns, we allow using an edited savefile to skip grinding for coins and set up unlocks to get optimal odds of getting the items we want. This however only applies to the savefile itself. Modding the game is not allowed for leaderboard submissions.

The rules state that you're not allowed to pick up any items during the run, so starting with one is fine.

could the Kao the Kangaroo Category Extensions (https://www.speedrun.com/kaoce) board be renamed to "Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 Category Extensions" or just "Kao 2 Category Extensions" and made a category extension of Kao 2 (https://www.speedrun.com/kao2)?

Also, could the Kao 3 (https://www.speedrun.com/kao3) board name be changed to the english title (Kao the Kangaroo: Mystery of the Volcano)?

there will not be a new category for the new patch. you can downpatch the game to get the old, faster moon back (tutorial on how to do that in the Guides tab), or run new moon and compete with others on the same leaderboard.

also to note, you do not need to charge the pillars to get to mithrix's arena

Celestial Ending is the category you're looking for

it happened with the 1.0 release because the game came out of early access. this was a regular update to the game that won't affect the leaderboards, you can submit runs on current or old patch to the boards

i will fix these leaderboards for the low low price of free just let me do it
