Good point - that is a strange adjustment but definitely would result in different efforts. I'd still love to watch any Pedro's speedruns you do!

I have no issues with it as all I can find says it is truly a reskin (I don't see why Hamumu would have made any programming changes). I will accept it and put a note in for the run. Worst case we determine there is some significant difference and we can make an alternate category under the Robot Wants umbrella.

If you run it, I bet someone would add it as a category.

I don't see why there should be a different series for the other Vex games; even Vex Mobile could be included in this series. The games themselves are still separate, and they are all thematically Vex games.

But it's up to the moderators to decide. I'd support adding them to the Vex series as it is, though.
