Probably a stupid question, but what about Real Platinum God speedrun? If there's a 2 week speedrun, a bit more than a day is fine, too, isn't it?
At the shootemup, isn't it better to get hit by 3 ships, either top or big 3, then dying to the fouoas it appears?
At "Before the City", why do people jump at the ledge before shooting the gun? Wouldn't it be faster to jump before and fall right after the ledge to increase your vertical velocity, so you can shoot the teleport gun earlier? Would you fall down the bottom of the screen before the teleport bullet can hit the block?

As for 7.38, it's easy. I won't accept it. If they appeal, they'll need proof. All of us tried and none of us could get 7.38. How did this one? Doesn't tell how? "Evidence" video is photoshopped. Conversation over.
I may have less than half of the IL pbs, but there is literally only 5 videos that are faster than my unrecorded times. Those are more likely to be cheats than these play alls. And I know they aren't for good reasons.
If you think any of the current play all wrs are cheats, go ahead and report it. I'm human, after all. We need the community to keep watch.
Ugh, quite the opposite. Stricter rules is the last thing this tinyass speedrunning group needs, lest we choke it further into oblivion. Yet, I would make this a very big deal if there was an actual CO speedrun community.
Play-all actually makes it more accurate since full game speedruns will play all individual levels through Play-All. But nevermind that because nobody can use play-all for a faster score outside 1-1, 1-3, 1-4. If anyone does, 1. that was a huge waste of time, ya nerd. 2. It's gonna have to go through a lot of checks.
It's not easy to fake a record by editing a video. If a video is edited, it's easy to tell. Video length, inconsistent game physics, comparisons to other videos of the same level. It gets pretty obvious even just looking with your bare eyes.
Finally, if someone does cheat and get away with it, I am proud of making a complete NERD-loser WASTE their time cheating on the most inconsequential thing they could waste their time cheating on in their life. The most inconsequential thing I spent 200 hours routing, running, and moderating... But that was for my own enjoyment.

I really, really want to make more videos and do more streams, but college is just killing me so badly. I don't know how it's going to go right now.
The segmented time must include the fade outs/ins and level selecting, too, though.
Oh, since we're on this thread. Should we just remove some of the categories that need all mementos or what?
Also, we should better define the exact starting and ending point of the run. I myself am not really sure on this, so I just end the timer about as late as seems acceptable, that is when the credits have fully faded in. But some games end timer once the credits END and some games end at the last input.

Saw some speedrun.com pages do this, so I thought it'd be interesting. or maybe that's dumb and would be repetitive since we already have IL leaderboards.
FYI, recording your TV with a camera was something I've only heard of in the old era of LPing. That and recording with the Unregistered Hypercam logo pasted through the video.
