it basically becomes all castles at that point with 1 world skipped, not sure it's different enough to be a main category. also warpless isn't a good name since there aren't warps, and that's the reason we ended up on all castles

yeah i use bowser jr car flying in the sky to time my jump, and just spin jump then boost. seems to basically trigger him swiping at you probably from getting too close to his face, and then bowser jr will come right down

im fine with that, for what its worth in nsmbu i ended up creating a misc category for boost blocks since a user wanted to use them.

I'm 99% sure i've made the jump in 1-2 as nabbit, it's pretty tight though.

Haha well mchan submitted a run and it was approved and he uses them in any%. I don't really think they should be allowed for nabbit any% or in non-2player runs in general. If you allow boost blocks then the optimal run becomes a co-op run and also will become someone creating a path to run on for boost blocks for the whole level. This can actually be pretty cool and there's a run i saw awhile ago on niconico using boost blocks that was a fun watch, but it just seems like a different category.

What do you guys think? Should nabbit category be Nabbit + Boost and be changed to co-op?

Why are boost blocks allowed in nabbit any%? they're not allowed in regular any% or luigi any% and it's possible to complete it without boost blocks.

Sorry for deleting the nabbit category, was trying to remove it from 100% but didn't see a way to do that, didn't realize i deleted any runs from it since i didn't look through the ILs, but don't blame LightofEon!

i would think you'd have to kill yourself and beat it as nabbit, not a fan of making exceptions to rules for categories. if the category isn't possible it shouldn't really be a category tho imo

haha i guess i just don't like how you can glide so far, end up skipping over a lot of enemies and stuff on the ground if you can jump from pretty high up, especially in luigi u it feels like you just fly over the whole level like the cape feather

no secret exits makes no sense for this series, are people okay with deleting it? the name doesn't even correctly state what the category would be. all castles is an in between category that was basically created as an alternative since no secret exits made no sense. it's only a few levels difference between the two categories

so uhh now that we have individual level leaderboard, what are the requirements? seems like every level you'd want to start with a star since you run faster? are there rules?

i'm not a fan of modifying the actual time a run takes, especially if modifications need to be adjusted in the future. it would also make submission more complicated as you would have to check each run to see whether they modified their time or not.

i think the with / without loading times works great, the doc seems to have the numbers for all the consoles. what's the issue with that? subtract 110 from DS, 72 from emu, 65 from VC, etc.

anyway, not a fan of the change in general since i'm not convinced load times are that consistent in this game, and i've never really been a fan of "close enough" times.

Ah makes sense, I think having both times side by side would make sense at least, and use the discounted time as the one it's sorted by if that's what you guys want.
