Incidentally, I have emailed Brad to see if the IGT feature could get added to the mobile port. With luck he might do an update at some point.

Sorry to be a pain, but I had a couple of other requests in relation to the mobile category:

1. Loads times on mobile seem to vary massively so I think load times should be deducted. It's a pain I know and if you wanted help I am happy to do the calculations as and when runs are submitted, either by adding me as a mod or letting me know when a run comes in.

2. I have found the most convenient and precise triggers for the start and end of the run as well as the start and end of loads is when the white screen starts to wipe in and when it starts to wipe off ( example here https://tinyurl.com/tmzbsyy ). This also has the benefit of avoiding the need to calculate the first load time.

There have been some runs already (we have chosed this game as the bi-weekly mini comp we do in the mobile speedrunning discord) and I have calculated the times based on the above https://tinyurl.com/rjmencp . If you are happy to make these changes to the mobile subcat can you let me know and the runs can get submitted here?

FPA World 1 is available on Android and iOS now ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.BorneGames.FPAWorld1&hl=en ; https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/fancy-pants-adventures-world-1/id1480775752 ). Having done a run, I think the phone version runs a lot faster plus some jumps seem possible on mobile but impossible on web (e.g. ~ 53s in vid). Mobile has load screens between levels too.

A new subcategory would be great if possible?

Hi. Please can Android and iOS platforms be added? I'm not sure if there are any differences in the versions and whether it would warrant a separate category, but I will try a run soon and find out.

ItzSlaY requested I add a 100% category, and I also see that in early 2019 a new 'pro' difficulty was added to career mode.

I have amended the leaderboards accordingly. I have moved all existing full game runs to 'Amateur / Any%' because, as far as I know, the previous career mode is equivalent to the current amateur league, but I haven't played the game enough recently to be certain. If anyone notices that current amateur league career is materially different to the 'old' career mode, please let me know.

Actually, having re-read your post, I think you might have just got the first piece of the mageblade (rather than the whole mageblade), as you are taken back to the plains after getting it. What you need to do now is use the portal to travel to node 7 on the map (linked above) and take the lower path onward, using the bomb ability recently acquired. The nodes on the map are, for the most part, numbered in the sequence you follow in a normal playthrough (the only difference is that we usually travel up to 19 after getting to 15, to get the shadow trinket).

Im not sure how far through the game you are. If you have just got mageblade then you normally head to worlds end keep (see node 52 on map at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3hRqcfMGu5aVTJPeFl4Y3VuNTA/view?usp=sharing )

Hmmm, that sucks. If the game was active I would say split categories, but unless / until there are new runs I guess its unnecessary to create more categories. May be allow all versions and review if/when any runs are submitted with new version?

I don't see why not but I dont think many people would run ILs because to get good times you would have to get the very best gear, which will either take a lot of play time or cost real money.

Mobile is a good platform for F2P. There are loads of games I could recommend including Cat Bird, Swordigo, Data Wing, Speed Run 2, Super Bear Adventure, Sword of Xolan.. If you are interested, let me know what kind of game / run you like and whether you are on Android or iOS

In regard to the OP, I think it is great advice. I would only add that if you are new to this and feeling down because the WR for a run you are attempting seems so far beyond your ability levels, you will be amazed what you will become capable of with enough practice (and the best practice is getting things wrong).

Icky, I think you misread emeraldaly's post. He was laughing / sobbing because a lot of his games (like mine) have almost no runners, let alone 30+. He wasn't mocking the OP at all, if anything it was self-deprecating.
