There is nothing disallowing CRCs. They are only possible in 2 player mode, and there has yet to be a traditional CRC discovered that would save time. ICRCs are used heavily in BTT and in a couple cases in RTA.

If the runner does not submit their run, there is nothing we can do about it. All inaccurate world records are either because the run has not been verified yet or because they did not submit it.
