I'm back home, time for some feedback!
The venue was great. I liked the idea of having everything in one room. While there are some problems to this, I still think it was a success because it created a great atmosphere. The kitchen was not really usable, though. Something I absolutely loved was the split button. The chat monitor was nice to have, but I mostly ignored it because of the toxic stuff that got spammed in there. The biggest problem in my opinion was, that the smaller rooms weren't really used, even though they had TVs and stuff in them. Staff could have maybe been a bit more strict, with sending some of the louder off-stream events to these.
The tech stuff wasn't always perfect, there were a lot of audio issues and it was very hard to see something on the projectors. But those problems could not outweigh the positive things for me (I got to run my game in beautiful RGB, so who am I to complain?).
The low point of the entire event for me - and I just have to mention it - was the Vice City crew killing SerSanjus Chains of Olympus run. While he was still going, they started setting up for the bingo. This made a ton of noise and eventually disconnected everything, including video and timer. This was very rude and I probably should have left the couch and told them to stop right away, but it's not easy to react quickly in situations like this. There should have been someone of the staff stopping this, but I guess no one noticed. I know that it was obviously not done intentionally, but please, for future marathons, try to take a look at the stream areas to make sure people can finish their runs without getting interrupted!
Oh and one more thing: Please organize the open block for the yellow stream differently. Most people - including me - were already too late when they figured out how to get runs in there.
Overall I had one of the best weeks in my life, despite some problems (something that can be expected). I will definitely go to the next ESA, in fact, I'm already counting the days :)
I will bring my NTSC N64 (plays both U and J carts) with my broken controller, as well as some games I run.
Beetle Adventure Racing has a name entry screen before you start championship mode. It's 8 characters and all caps, but the problem is that you barely see it in the run. The result screens after each race are just quickly skipped, the only place where you could actually see the name would be on the result screen after the run is over.
Pottoww, I'm not a Starfox runner, but I'm very interested in the game both for speedruns and scoring. I have a decent knowledge about the game, but again, not a runner. So if you don't find anyone else, I'd be up for it ^^
I will have exe and carrydsupra, as well as dkr_paddy on the couch (if he shows up at the marathon ^^). I will also try to commentate exes GoW 2 run, I'm still doing some research about the game for this.
I'd love to join, sounds like fun! But I'm still a noob at Magic and would probably need some help xD
Only allowing emu on leaderboards if it isn't WR has to be the worst way of dealing with this issue. Please don't encourage it with a feature. Either ban or allow emu. Even when allowing it, you can still choose to not display it by default.
Sealed is great, but I'm really mostly a casual player. If you want to teach stuff to someone, I'd be up for it. Also, Modern is the best ^^
No one up for some Magic? Not that I'm any good at it, but it could still be fun :)
Would it be possible to move exes God of War runs further ahead? I'll be one of his commentators, but I'll arrive in Sweden at the 29th. It wasn't possible for me to arrive earlier and I would hate to miss his runs :(

I'm looking for roommates. I'm not sure yet where to go, but I doubt I will be able to find a cheaper place than the Quality Hotel Prisma.
I know that they're full on 26/27, so I don't really know what to do because I want to avoid mass housing at all cost. Maybe I will decide to get to Sweden on 28.

How can people find sub 30 ATR harder than sub 20 16 star (even though those are completely different games). Well, maybe I just suck at SM64 :p
Anyway, if you want to make this game "more attractive", change the big problem this leaderboard has that I wrote about in the other thread on this board. It got completely ignored, but something needs to be done about it - DKR is the only game on this site (to my knowledge) that actually has ILs where people are not allowed to submit times! Change that!
I got the WR back for Bonus Circuit with the first sub 31 time ever :)
You know what would be a cool feature for game pages? Having an option to "hide misc categories on the main IL table".
Some games have IL tables that force me to scroll horizontally to see all categories (at least on the laptop) and that's something that should be avoided as much as possible. Having the option to hide some categories wouldn't completely solve the problem, but it would at least give people a bit more control over it.
