If you want to try and route and complete a run, you can do so and we can add your run to our Category Extensions Extensions (CEE) page on our IL sheet, and once it gets a few other runs on the leaderboard we could create a category for this CE leaderboard.
Lastly, we have an established method of at least the top 20% of runs on the leaderboard to require constant clear video that contains game audio. This % is somewhat flexible.
FlippyDrive isn't eligible for submission to the Speedrun.com leaderboards due to unresolved issues around load speeds. At this time, the most reliable solutions for managing hardware failures, disc degradation, and similar concerns are Nintendont and Dolphin Emulator. These alternatives offer more consistent and proven support, ensuring a better experience for competitive play. To answer your other question, turbo and macro options on controllers are banned. Otherwise, 3rd party controllers are allowed.
