I’m not super knowledgeable on the glitchy side of this game, but I know weird things can happen in this game if you press 2 opposite directions (up+down or left+right) at the same time. Normally this isn’t possible on a SNES controller without breaking it, but in emulators with other controllers it can be possible if a setting isn’t disabled.

I don’t know about Higan and where this setting may be, but it could be that that setting isn’t enabled and you accidentally managed to register 2 opposite inputs at the same time.

I’m just tossing out ideas though, I may be way off.

1. Yes, that’s perfectly fine.

2. Depends on the game, check the LBs to see if they separate runs based on console type.

3. If you wanted to do something other than record directly from the console, you’d need a capture card to capture the console feed and then you can put it into a layout in broadcasting software like OBS or XSplit. But I wouldn’t recommend spending money on that investment until you’re sure you want it. I’d stick with the XBox One App at first.

Having no sound is generally a problem. Audio is one of the biggest ways to detect a cheated run (not saying you cheated, I’m sure you didn’t) so not having any sound usually sets off a lot of red flags for moderators.

I’d look into better recording/broadcasting software like OBS or XSplit which will probably give you much better recordings that don’t desync on you.

@infinitemystery there is no need for a separate LB. Just ask the mods of the NES board to add GB as a platform and add an Any% (GB) category for you.

I can only guess but I think CHN was combined with iQue like that because prior to this it was the only Chinese console on the site. Now that the Nvidia Shield is there with CHN games, CHN should probably be it’s own region and drop the iQue part and become like CHN/PAL or something like that.

I don’t know anything super detailed about CEMU but more than likely it speeds up loading and/or performs better than an actual console. This tends to be the case with most emulators for consoles PS2 and later.

If you stop moderating a game for whatever reason and someone comes along with a run that doesn't get verified, they'd start bothering you to verify it or they'd request to become moderator if you never responded. I'd suggest finding another runner who is active in the game and modding them to help with anything if you need to disappear for a while.

You can already see the Number of runs a person has done on their info page. The Number of WRs can be gleaned from looking at their runs on their profile so can categories played.

That sounds unpleasant and not very interesting at all. Seems like a silly arbitrary restriction that would only extend the length of a normal glitchless run due to your damage output being lesser because of no PCS.

As long as it watchable with decent audio, it should be fine. If it’s choppy, fuzzy or has chunks of audio missing, etc then that probably won’t be okay.

Bring it up with the Portal 2 mods. They’re the ones who can do something about it or look into it more.

Opposite Armor is not an optional boss and Aero has nothing to do with the reason for fighting him, it’s just a nice reward.

To unlock Hollow Bastion you need 2 Navi-G pieces. You get one from sealing the Neverland keyhole and one from sealing the Traverse Town keyhole (which happens after you beat Opposite Armor). Without beating Opposite Armor you can’t finish the game.

The only optional parts of the game are Olympus Coliseum and you can skip one of Atlantica, Monstro or Halloween Town since you only need to finish 2 of those 3 worlds to get Neverland to spawn.

Assuming the repro cart isn’t modified it should be fine. But it’s hard to say for certain because you never know what people might add or change in the repro.

I’d ask the mods of the game for a definitive answer.

CTRL+F5 to clear your cache. That will often times fix the issue right away (as opposed to your browser holding onto the cached images until it needs space).

Or, yeah, who knows what GDQ is breaking on the site right now if that doesn’t work.
