Yeah I actually remember this video from a long time ago and he just not submitted it. Back then i think the GCs could spawn sooner than 7-8 minutes.
Also since we allow any version of the game, I think neverclick could be a lot faster in the beta because of the cookie dungeon.
So I just finished my first run and I just wanted to provide some notes for people to start off with.
Build Order: You would follow the Neverclick build and from there on someone would have to do all the math for the best build order. I would aim for the 20 upgrades first and then work on the building achievements after.
Shadow Achievements: Throughout the run, you can gain 3-4 of these. They however do not count towards your total achievements. So they're pointless to go for (speed baking 1 and 2 will probably happen either way, but don't count towards the final goal.)
Best Achievements to go for: These will depend on what golden cookies you receive as a Click Frenzy could potentially help you reach the 1 Billion cookies baked by clicking achievement, but maybe not. Here's what I believe the most reliable ones to go for are. I've listed 41 since the (Early Bird) achievement can be sort of tough to get.
(Total Cookies baked) = 5 -Wake and Bake (1) -Making Some dough (1,000) -So Baked Right Now (100,.000) -Fledgling Bakery (1,000,000) -Affluent Bakery (100,000,000)
(Cookies Per Second) = 5 -Casual Baking (1) -Hardcore Baking (10) -Steady Tasty Stream (100) -Cookie Monster (1000) -Mass Producer (10,000)
(Cookies From Clicks) = 3 -Clicktastic (1000) -Clickathlon (100,000) -Clickolympics (10,000,000)
(Buildings) = 15 -Click (1 Cursor) -Double-click (2 Cursors) -Mouse Wheel (50 Cursors) -Of Mice and Men (100 Cursors) << Potentially wont need -Just Wrong (Sell a Grandma) -Grandma's Cookies (1 Grandma) -Sloppy Kisses (50 Grandmas) -My First Farm (1 Farm) -Reap what you Sow (50 Farms) -You Know the Drill (1 Mine) -Excavation Site (50 Mines) <<Potentiall wont need -Production Chain (1 Factory) -Pretty Penny (1 Bank) -Your Time to Shrine (1 Temple) -Builder (Own 100 buildings)
(Upgrades) = 1 -Enhancer (20 Upgrades)
(Golden Cookies) = 4 -Golden Cookie (1 GC) -Lucky Cookie (7 GCs) -Early Bird (Click GC within first second) << Hard to get -Fading Luck (Click GC within last second)
(Misc) = 8 -Cookie Dunker (Dunk the cookie) -Tiny Cookie (Click the Tiny cookie) -What's in a name (name bakery) -Here you go (Click the ? between What's in a name and Tabloid Addiction.) -Tabloid Addiction (Click the news scroll 50 times.) -Neverclick (Bake 1 million only clicking 15 times.) -Uncanny Clicker (Click Really really fast) -Sacrifice (Ascend with 1 million cookies baked)
(Other Potential Achievements depending on Frenzy) -World-Famous Bakery (1 Billion cookies baked) -Clickorama (1 Billion Cookies from clicking) -Cookie Vortex (1,000,000 CPS) << unlikely -Bewitched (1 Wizard Tower) -Oblivion (Ascend with 1 Billion Cookies baked) <--- Likely a good time save
I've made them all misc for now. I can't seem to do sub categories for cookie clicker.
As requested from multiple users, No Golden Cookies varients to all categories have been added (Besides True Neverclick which wouldn't be possible) I've also added in a 40 Achievements Category as it's one I've done and had a lot of fun with. There are different ones you can go for and not lose time.
Zooming is fine, refreshing is a bit suspect because you can easily splice a run this way. I think we would need a discussion to see what everyone thinks.
I'm not entirely sure how this would work, I'm okay with the idea as long as we can come to some sort of way to completely prevent cheating. It may be worth looking into how the Baten Kaitos 100% board handles this as the 100% run is something like 200 hours and happens over multiple streams.
Here's my thoughts. -You must record the entire session (can be segmented.) -You must keep a log of every save. Each save is is usually a string of HEX. We can use this to confirm that you are where you said you were at the end of each sessions. -No auto clickers. (Obviously)
I don't think you would need to take the extreme steps of showing your computer date and time as long as the saves are kept track of. Though I must say, this would literally take weeks I'm pretty sure of non stop play. So It would be pretty crazy to even attempt.
If you're looking for something new and interesting to run, Xerokynos and I used to do races on SRL of 40 achievements unlocked. It roughly took a couple of hours to do and had some different paths you could take depending on Golden cookie luck, and whether or not you get that one achievement that just randomly happens. Sometimes it was better to go for clicking achievements, vs other times where it was better to go for total cookies backed achievements.
It wont effect any of the existing runs because they're fairly common sense. But I'm adding the stats screen should be visible and the player must use a timer such as w-split or Livesplit. Sorry for any inconvenience they may cause.
That's a really neat interaction. My guess is that the wrong pixel loads the previous boss and due to the location it only loads one hitbox because it think it's freddy?
I think this would count as a cheat code which aren't allowed in any speedrun unless stated otherwise.
Oh wow... I've gotten 3 on a mess up before. I';m not really sure what causes it.
there are 2 pretty difficult jumps in the speedrun. If it's the jump I think you're talking about, Try just tapping the jump button instead of holding it down. this may seem coutner intuitive but you actually get more distance. Bonking your head on the ceiling makes you fall faster.
None of the category rules says you cant, and as you can see don't he boards, none of the versions are consistent.
We already sequence break the game pretty heavily with wall jumping and bubble and block jumps.
Yeah it sounds like he's just block jumping into the boss room
The first thing I would do is slow down the video frame by frame and count the number of frames in between each click. If it is consistent, that's a pretty good indicator of auto-clicking. No Human is going to be able to maintain the same number of frames in between each and every click.
Another Thing I might look for is if the cursor is moving around, though this isn't necessarily an indicator as Laptop players can easily keep the cursor still.
(Also regarding the above concern, Based on the invonsistant clicks and fumbling around to grab some of the upgrades, I don't think it's using an auto clicker.)
Yeah we're pretty much all willing to answer any questions you might have either here in the forums or through twitch or youtube
In another topic I believe one of the mods said they would be willing to add the categories if people ran them. So do a run, record it and then ask.
