The skip is legitimate. There is a buffer between emissions that you can time in order to exit the map without death. Once you pass a certain threshold the emission will kill you regardless, so you need to be just before that threshold and take a hit so that the game buffers before the next emission. The concern at the moment seems to be how often he gets endurance artifacts and how he takes very little damage in Sarcophagus.
