I don't really see the point or the fun in it. All the bosses are basically auto-scrollers except for N. Gin anyways.

The main RNG is getting the blue shell in the red ? in 1-2. There's a consistent way to manipulate that. After that, RNG can decide how much time the ? blocks and hammer bros spend moving on the map.

To put it simply, the item glitch is when you build a "bounces combo" that reaches 199 or more bounces on enemies (or on a bouncy box, the one with an arrow, which is used to raise the bounces counter faster). Starting from that point, you start getting crystals if you keep bouncing on enemies, thus allowing you to skip all levels and head straight to defeating bosses, which makes you save an insane amount of time over a "normal" run in which you collect crystals the way it was intended to be by the developer. Watch an any% run to get an idea of what I'm talking about. As you've probably seen, with this glitch you can basically complete adventure mode in over 20 minutes less than a No Item Glitch run.

Optimising movement will save you several more minutes than learning glitches will. I'd recommend by starting to complete runs with little to no glitches to practice moving Spyro quickly. Then add glitches once you want to save small chunks of time.

You can choose either keeping them enabled or not. Disabling them of course makes you save time, but it's not a must. The only difference is that the timer starts whenever you gain control of Coco's plane (fade-in of the level, as soon as it fades in you gain control). Everything else follows the normal NIG rules. You can either disable sfx by pausing, then go to the warp room after disabling them, or disable them as you would do in a NIG run after entering a level in warp 1. Your choice.

Yes, Project 64 1.6 is allowed. I've been using it for my own runs lately. Emulator runs aren't shown by default though, you have to filter to show them.

BUT if you don't have a capture unit in ur 3ds, you could check http://3ds.guide/ and look if your 3ds is hackable. there's a nifty little thing called NTR for hacked 3ds' that allows to stream video to a pc. (new 3ds only tho)

otherwise like some of the japanese runners on the any% category you can strap a camera onto your 3ds and just record that way.

these 2 options might not look as clean as a capture unit would but they are fine in terms of validating your run.

Did you map the buttons through config - gamepads - port 1 - pad 1? Personally I use DirectInput and dualshock.

There are no glitches in either game to my knowledge. I havent really tried to find any though.

On the pad setup page there should be a dropdown menu that says "[SCPH-XXXX] whatever". Make sure that's set to "[SCPH-1200] DualShock (F5)"
