Going back to the first page where I introduced the idea, which I had originally mentioned a couple times across a year a while back, just hide the "+X map" categories against the main subcategory of "Full Game", it wouldn't clutter the board imo. Being a content mod now I can assure that this game wouldn't properly qualify for a Category Extensions board sadly.
Archive the ILs by renaming current categories (Forest, etc. Pre whatever version) and making new categories adding the post physics patch update runs, deleting them would be deleting history, regardless of physics changes.
I'm sure you can revert back to previous versions, all steam games allow this. Also the mods have not been involved with this game in over 2 years besides lance and he stated how much he dislikes speedrunning the game now because how crucial physics were changed.
Archiving runs is pretty simple, just make a category and put the levels under subcategories. I don't believe because physics are changed means we should remove all of these runs from this board.
It was on the leaderboard long ago, but was removed due to only having 1 run for multiple months which at that point is no reason to keep a subcategory.
Not every part of all the stages needs ILs, just the 7 single stages.

Is there a discord server? If so, I would love to join and share my strats with others. I intend to make another thread for a fast cycles showcase.
Individual Levels leaderboard should be implemented. Some of these levels can get really competitive while racing against the in-game timer. Speaking of, I think an in-game timer as the secondary timing method should be added, as there is one in game, but not mandatory.
The Kill all enemies category is moreso a challenge, not a speedrun. The no deaths rule seems pretty off putting. I get that its an arbitrary 100%, but since this game has no true 100% that would make the player go out of their way i.e. obtaining collectibles or other means of game completion, I don't believe the category should exist, but, not my call obviously.
You can submit runs and view actual WRs here: https://www.cyberscore.me.uk/group/2419/15595 Highscore based gamemodes will not be tracked on this leaderboard.
I've suggested the full-game categories like this a couple of times throughout the last 3 years. It's frustrating to see times just removed because a new map is released when there are clearly better options that allow to archive the runs and new runs to are able to get verified. Pre Pirate Cove the archiving subcategories still could be made, it was obvious they planned to make many more maps and how awkward transitioning full-game categories would be, so yes this could of been done from release, there was no seeing in the future.
If "w/o Space" is going to be a thing in Misc., why wasn't there a "w/o Pirate Cove" "w/o Ancient" and so on when the addition of new maps were previously added. I think a better solution could of been starting from Forest to Twilight when the game released with those three maps, with subcategories labeled as Misc., not in Misc., where you add each map as they get released. Here is an example of this: https://prnt.sc/p2s7lm (Rules would have to state that for whatever category you're running you're also doing the map above, say if you run +Candyland, Haunted must be done in the run as well). Something like this could prevent all of those runs from being removed. I don't think this is too much either, though I don't recall how many verified runs there were at the time before removal caused by each maps addition. Eventually when the final map would be released, you could take off Misc. for that specific subcategory as it would clearly be the full-game run (The names I put in the image are just examples, could be renamed better). With such subcategories, all the previous times can be archived while allowing new runs to be accepted, it's a win win for everyone.
If it did the same as Smash 4, maybe, and if there is to be a future update that adds it, probably not. Manually going through 1700+ runs (Probably closer to 1650+ since some already have IGT) to calculate IGT is just too much, we did not plan to make Classic mode IGT only for reasons above. There's no reason not to get IGT for all existing Classic runs if we decide to remove RTA completely from Classic.
It is not the main method for this category because not everyone would want to submit with IGT as it does take a little bit of time to calculate. This is a new game so we decided to be as speedrunner friendly as possible and made sure IGT did not matter so much for Classic, unless there is a tie with RTA, then we manually add in IGT to break the tie. I think it should stay this way, mods would have to manually calculate and check every single round for every single submission, and we get numerous submissions daily. I don't think any of us are willing to do such a thing and considering its been like this since the game's release, I and the other mods would prefer not to go back to every single Classic submission there has ever been and add in IGT, leaving the old times with no IGT would not make sense in this case.
It's a issue with the code i believe, it's been a thing for a long while, just inverse the players when submitting.
You don't need a leaderboard to run a category like this. If you wish to run Any% without certain tricks then by all means do it on your own accord, that's what I believe half of the runners from the Any% category already do. Also with the "Is it a Glitch or Exploit? Was it intended by Nintendo or not?" controversy gives another reason to not make a category like this.
Softlock categories do not have a place on main leaderboards, this seems too arbitrary to be a category anyway.
goryuya/Chaos 59:46s will not have milliseconds removed, if removed, stats would be messed up (Chaos' 59:46 would not show up on stats because its the same time m:s as goryuya, just achieved at a later date, though it is infact a World Record by milliseconds).
Certain categories have been removed from SMOCE due to extreme inactivity, not having a sensible goal, or both. They will be archived on this spreadsheet from now on instead: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MX-VBE6iy-xKEuJ51rbvKPg-rkxk4H0lC8pgWx3p7rg/edit?usp=sharing There will be no submission form for new additional runs past the archive date to this spreadsheet, it will not be tracked.
