I tried routing it out pretty close to release, and the fifteen billion trips through That Place With The Stampede With The Undodgable Fight You Can't Run From and the fiften billion trips past Super Porky and the numerous frustrating meaningless fights you can't run from made it just really unfun. The important exciting fights were few and far between, and the grind fights in between were repetitive and unneeded. I finished a pretty low-level run.

Then they patched in the ability to run and made it easier to stealth...and now its so far in the other direction. Dodging fights you don't want is child's play, and now the times you actually do any wrestling are even fewer and farther betwee.

Did anybody actually finish routing it out to have a baseline time? Did anybody find any tech to make the run more interesting? I'm just wondering if I'm missing a super skip that cuts this down to a reasonable time, because I was in the 2-3? hour territory when I just stopped routing. The run felt way too boring for that length.

It sucks so much because showcasing a great wrestling game at a live speedrunning event and giving people the chance to cheer would be SO MUCH FUN.

I'm tired of losing the 8BitDo QC Gacha. I keep buying them again because they're good, afforadble controllers when they work. But when they don't work and I need to replace them, I'm usually playing the Amazon Buy-And-Return Shuffle and this time it got me literally a day outside of the return window. It made it 31 days before giving me issues, which is well before the usual 6-month period I expect before problems start setting in for them.

Getting a PC controller is no problem. You have unlimited options for PC controllers these days. I also need a controller with turbo, but even that's pretty basic these days.

The problem is that I use the 8bitdo Retro Receivers for anything I play on an actual console. My 8BitDo controller is the controller for my PC, Switch, PS1, PS2, PS3, SNES, GameCube, GameBoy Player on GameCube, and I think even the Dreamcast but I don't know that I ever got to test the adapter I picked up for that. I'd be better off just buying a lifetime supply of 8BitDos and praying to the RNG gods rather than buying one solid reliable PC controller + a dozen other controllers. The Retro Receivers claim to be compatible with XBOX Bluetooth as well as DualSHock 3 and 4 controllers, "and more!" That's really the big mystery in this whole thing -- I can find a laundry list of cool, expensive, quality controllers. I have no idea if any of them are compatible.

So I'm looking for a Bluetooth controller that likely has to spit out an XBOX, X-Input, or PS3/4 connection by Bluetooth, has turbo, and has a decent D-Pad. ...which is the entire 8BitDo line of Bluetooth controllers. Does anybody have a good alternative?

I have a Stream Deck to work with and the LiveSplit server component. My Stream Deck is on my Stream PC, but because I need to use an autosplitter Livesplit is running on my game PC. I can't figure out a way to actually send a command over to the Game PC's LiveSplit. The Stream Deck has a component that can send web requests. Sending:

WebSocket Message 'startorsplit' to ws://GamePC.IP.Address:LivesplitPort -- nothing happens HTTP Request to https://GamePC.IP.Address:LivesplitPort -- POSTing the message 'startorsplit' also doesn't seem to do anything.

This LiveSplitClientPlugin does what I need, but I see the timer stuttering sometimes and I don't need to deal with "why does your timer keep stopping when you're not on a loading screen" so I'm just gonna send LiveSplit from the Game PC over to stream PC via NDI. I just need to figure out how to send it a few splits that aren't in the autosplitter.

I had an itch to pick up this speedrun again, so I made it a charity incentive that got unlocked, so now I kinda gotta run it again lol. I never submitted my time (or saved a VOD or even my splits, good job me), but I do have my old notes for the PS1 version. Would those more or less get me through the PC version?

I don't even mind if I don't fold in anything new from the PC release, or even what "boosts" it might have a-la FF8/9/Chrono Cross, I'm just looking for a viable route through then if I get the itch I'll work on getting up to speed form there.
