Sorry for the very late response, its just that no one has actively ran this game in 6 years besides signakong and me.
I assume the trick you are referring to is pause stomping? To perform a pause stomp, you need to simply stomp on an enemy or object and pause the game as you bouce upwards, then unpause. The timing for this is fairly strict and definitely takes a lot of muscle memory to learn and execute consistently. Depending on when you paused the game, you can be shot up with extreme altitude or have a short bounce upwards. You can pull this trick off as any character with different levels of altitude, I haven't done any extreme testing or anything however I feel as though Amy is the most consistent character to pause stomp with, though she generally gives me lower altitudes. Hope this helps!

As far as we are aware, there is no difference between installing the game from relist and installing the game from disc. Especially considering we have a "newly" instated loadless system, any load differentials would be obsolete between the two versions. You should be totally fine to install the game from the store
@Kirrby since clone hero has an absurd amount of custom songs being made practically daily, it would be very hard to maintain something like that. Also I'm a firm believer of keeping speedrun.com as a website for tracking times, not as a score-attack board. If I remember correctly there is already a similar system that exists/is in progress as a score-tracking database.

As a mod team we decided that top 30 runs require in-game audio in some way (prefereably at least SFX) and that any run verified after making this rule would get rejected
Oh sorry i misinterpreted the question.
The top 30 are forced to be YouTube in order for us to retime them and so we can implement millisecond retiming. Other runs are retimed only to whole seconds
If runs have been previously verified, we don't touch those unless they need to be edited after cleanup
