ValhallaEmulated runs are currently allowed in a game I moderate, however this leads to it being really easy to TAS. I was thinking that to counteract this, we require something like gamepad viewer ( https://gamepadviewer.com/ ), which without a lot of extra effort wouldn't track inputs from a TAS on an emulator (I don't think). Was wondering if this would be a good idea to require emulated runs to do (with a guide made in order to show them how to do it) and just wanted a quick yes or no. Made a strawpoll to collect the answers, so if yall wouldn't mind a quick yes or no it'd be appreciated.
It's the only thing in the rules that isn't bulleted despite just being a rule and not a clarification, I think that's why it flies under the radar.
To quote the rules directly: "You are permitted to have exactly one account on the site. Alternate accounts will be banned."
It's just one line in the rules, I was told about it myself and luckily wasn't banned after making a second account for the sake of name sniping. It's pretty well hidden in the rules, but I can 100% get why it's there. Like others have said, it makes ban evasion prevalent and lets people do what they do on twitter and say dumb stuff until they get banned on an account they don't care for. Good rule to have in place, glad the site mods were lenient with me.
Thanks for putting forth all of your time over these years to make the site as good as it is. You've all been a great help in not only getting me into speedrunning, but also helping me with quite literally any problem I had (there have been a lot). I doubt any of the staff would remember me, but just know the work and effort you guys put in will be remembered indefinitely by me and many others. I'm sad to see you go, but it's been great having you guys working so hard for the sake of speedrun.com.

Make ILs appear in chronological order in the same way that full-game categories do on your profile.
Only even realized this was a problem because I've been running Mario Kart Fusion (which is primarily ILs) and because ILs are currently sorted alphabetically, it appears at the bottom of my ILs.
Thinking of requiring input display on dolphin to make it harder to cheat
@GalaxxyYT I'd recommend super mario 64 or odyssey. They both have easy to learn beginner routes. Someone mentioned they're "oversaturated" but that's not a problem if you're just trying to either get into or get the hang of speedrunning.
@Pear phenomenal, well worth the money. I mainly use it to play stuff on my 3ds while in calls with friends, but I've done a couple speedruns with it too (Mario 64 3DS port https://www.speedrun.com/super_mario_64_3ds, some DS hacks https://www.speedrun.com/ekds/full_game#Flower_Cup, etc.) Only reason it looks bad is because of my layout making it so I need to stretch the footage.
@Jonsy why not use your 3ds to record the DS games? The gamecube records the GBA games better anyway.
To be clear, I only meant the IL UI, for some reason non-IL categories don't get good treatment :(
