tldr of like 100 threads trough who knows how many years: not a good thing. "promotes" just going for random easy wrs for points and/or creating new categories for free points

how did you not see the talk about necroing threads right above you

1. the timer is only for you and has nothing to do with the validity of your run (unless you run hl2 or something like that)

as long as you can recognize whats happening in the video its probably fine

in my short 6 years ive somewhat been in the speedrunning community ive never seen anyone who plays a category 24/7 allways and overkills it. very often there is a dominant runner but that doesnt mean they "overkill" anything or play 24/7

there is always 1 guy on top of every board. thats how leaderboards work

retexture is an interesting choice of a word for redesign
