If you go to https://www.speedrun.com/tonyhawk and hit "request game", you should be able to submit a form.
Like Fisel said, some skaters have different skate letter locations (I believe there's 3 different skate letter groupings?) Also the gap goals are different depending on if they're a street or a vert skater.
It's mostly the games structure that's the difference. THUG1 allows you to modify everything on a clean save file, special tricks, catbag and all that. Because you start in an actual level(NJ), you can reload saves with little discrepancy. Along with the fact that apart from reduced RNG and maybe more leniency on the buttslaps you can get, doesn't affect the run as much compared to not having catbag.
THUG2, you spawn in a tutorial level that doesn't count towards any game progress so we just start timer from selecting Boston from the change level menu. Also, hitting new game clears all your equipped specials and tricks. With story and classic mode, you're using a save file with moves you got from playing a different mode (some form of game progress). Story = Hot Rod (Classic Mode Sick Difficulty), Paulie Butt Manual (Story Mode Normal) or Classic = Everything above + unlocking tagger in Berlin for Double Fistin' (AND boosting your story stats to max to benefit classic skater's performance in that mode).
tl;dr THUG1 is mostly speeding up certain goals but it's mostly still a linear route and equipping isn't as controversial as a process as THUG2 based on quitting out and saving a file with game progress already on it.
I'm not certain how much of this you already have implemented so take from this what you may I guess. To get the gap goal completed every time you need to do a regular crooked grind sometime before the baggage claim gap. Throw in some special manuals, special grinds and your special flips in your combo where you can. Obviously doing your special grind on the baggage claim is a must, that's where the bulk of your points comes from. George does a Judo out from the baggage grind, not necessary but if you're lacking points it's a good quick grab you can do to cap things off. Hope this helps
Done :) your run should already be up under the "All Goals" misc. category
I've heard that sometimes having a 2nd monitor enabled can cause issues with launching the game.
Hmm, do you have dual monitors or anything like that?
Try doing left bumper for nollie and left trigger for switch. If that still crashes maybe try reinstalling thug. If all else fails let me know and we'll see if we can fix it.
While I do not personally run thps3, I do see that the ps1 and n64 versions are really different with overall level structure and goals. However I don't think there are enough runs of the n64 and ps1 ports to warrant a separate category imo. Most runners of this game opt to use the pc port because it's the fastest due to goal lineup and load times. I could always forward this to other mods on the Tony Hawk games to see their input if you'd prefer.
This occurs because you have a previous save file in which you saved after you beat the final mission in the last chapter. We consider an any% run as a run in which you complete the Eric mission. So in order to avoid the last mission skip you need to clear your save file and not save after chapter 27 from here on out(for pc) or clear your data each time you do a console run... Or just go back in the game w/ "continue story" and either skate to the goal or select it from the menu depending on what category you're running.
