I'm posting this to introduce and bring attention to a new unofficial category I have created: Cake%, and to establish clear rules for anyone interested in attempting future Cake% runs. Hopefully with enough runners we can create a leaderboard.

In addition to all Game Rules listed, the Category Rules are as follows:

1. Players are allowed to spawn in any town with any character build.

2. Time starts on first frame of world loading.

3. Players must collect all ingredients for cake creation.

4. Players must craft the Cake Batter and Cake Preparation items themselves with collected ingredients.

5. Any type of cake is allowed to be created from the Cake Preparation item.

6. Players must fully cook the cake, if the cake has burned it becomes invalid.

7. Time ends on first frame the completed cake is removed from the world via being eaten by the player character in its entirety.

For players who do not know how to create a cake here is a quick guide:

Ingredients:

• BOWL

• SPOON or FORK or SPATULA

• BAKING PAN

• CORNFLOUR or FLOUR

• BUTTER or LARD or MARGARINE or OLIVE OIL or VEGETABLE OIL

• SUGAR

• EGGS [x2] (wild or domestic)

• YEAST

• MILK or CANNED EVAPORATED MILK & CAN OPENER

• EXTRA FLAVOR INGREDIENT (The game does not let you create plain cakes.)

Once all ingredients are collected, create Cake Batter in the Bowl. Cake Batter can then be placed in the Baking Pan to create a Cake Preparation. Combine the Cake Preparation with your extra flavor ingredient(s) to create your uncooked cake. Place your cake in a heat source to cook it.

Extra Tip: The Cook trait provides the player the necessary recipes for creating a cake on their own.

Is there a possibility of The Ecstacy of Gold category getting filters for the spawn towns? I bring this up seeing as the original challenge had started in Rosewood. I have completed a run from a Rosewood start that is still waiting review only to see the new best times both start from West Point.

I know it doesn’t say anything specific about spawn location in the rules but it still disheartening to try to honor the original challenge’s start location to then see the only viable option in getting a decent time now being to start in West Point.
