Yeah I was debating whether to weigh in on this initially but it isn't coming off as "a bit rude", it's just horrible.
I would imagine resolving to understand any reasons for decisions, or mistakes made, in DMs with star is a good step but because you posted here in response presumably that's already gotten you nowhere or you don't agree with what she's said.
I feel like prolonging this isn't healthy but what exactly has gone so wrong with so many of yours and other people's cases? I've read what you said about moderators being offline for months but this isn't always clear cut and I'd have a hard time believing anything is happening arbitrarily without specifics. I can generally agree with @SioN , in 5 years of useage I've seen some problems with the top-level management of the site but not with Meta, Star, or the volunteers under Pac, I've been granted moderator for games in similar cases after trying to contact the moderators personally and getting either nothing or an ambivolent response, as in line with the site rules.
For most boards, a few days is average. I'm sure your pending Black Ops run will be verified soon
You can request a CE page using the normal game request function in the support hub, although a CE page usually demands a high level of activity on the main page, no exact requirement is currently published in the guidelines but I believe it used to be at least 30 active players and is probably still a similar number.
I would add, if you can manage to get the categories on your main page then that's usually the best solution, CE pages tend to be less active and overpopulated with categories, there are a good few exceptions I realise but still
Someone else may correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe this is a bug with archived categories, on games with no archived categories the submission field doesn't have an entry for either the archived categories or for the buggy full-game category being carried over.
If it's Deep Down, ask dha, the super mod, but you need some verified socials on your profile as a means of contact (and a verified email address) and to be involved with the game's community if at all possible. I also don't think there's any demand given that the last submissions were made in 2022, but hey.
I am minded to agree that the user-facing message isn't great - rate limiting is just a term in computing for submitting too many <things> in too short a space of time, for the site it's important we don't know the specifics of how much limiting there is (for now) so the message will be ambigous, but could be more elaborate about what's going on, or have a link to a forum thread like this one explaining it.
Just as a point of clarification, what game is this for? Is the person you spoke to a super mod themselves and the inactive person also a super or is one/both of them a regular mod? Fair few mistakes do happen, I agree, although sometimes it's just a reason which exists in the site practice to prevent people from mismanaging boards, can end up making things more inefficient...
What I'd suggest is requesting a speedrun page for the game, and then creating a news post about handing out keys to potentially interested runners or creators.
If you're willing to offer money to runners who might want to compete in the game, or have a good case for future speedruns, you might be able to reach out to the site staff about setting up a Challenge or a site-news page about a new-release competition you're doing for the game, where runners can recieve keys randomly upon registering their interest, much like ALTf42 did.
You need to request a new game using the support hub. Keep in mind that a request doesn't have to be approved just because the game exists, some trivial games, plus other exemptions, aren't added to the site, but the rules do feel like they've been relaxed over the last couple of years.
Both of those are speedruns but I get that people aren't always happy with those answers.
Minecraft Java Edition Random Seed 1.16+ Any% has thousands of runs, along with Super Mario Odyssey Any% and Roblox Speed Run 4 5 Levels, but Celeste Any% has even more than all of these contrary to my first thoughts. I haven't used a script to check this so there might be a more contested one, although Celeste also comes up as the most valuable category on speedstats, so presumably a category with more runs would have to be quite unusual in the criteria.
