Just wait for a content mod approve your requests. The time for approval is various, depending on their available time. They can't be on the site all the time

Today I decided to add a second mod to the NSMB Hacks series page. After a little reflexion I decided to promote @ILOVESMB as a mod here. Why ?

Because he's :

• knowledgeable : He's know a lot of tricks, tips and other stuff in NSMB Hacks. He's moderate a lot of hacks here (exactly 7 hacks including the two bigs hacks released at this time : Newer Wii and Newer DS)

• available : He's very active on the site (all days). if you have some questions he can answer it shortly.

• mature : It's the most important point for a series moderator (and a game mod too) and I never seen @ILOVESMB posting dumb things (like meme post, runs etc...) across the site.

• trustworthy : For me it's the most trustworthy guy in the NSMB hacks community. I know @ILOVESMB since a lot of months now.

As a series mod he can :

• Add ROM Hacks not on the site without staff approval to the NSMB Hacks series (for personal use or if a user request a new hack via the forum thread )

• Add unreleased ROM Hacks (it's not possible via the standard game request form)

• Request series changes for existing hacks on the site but not on the series (I guess at this time all nsmb hacks on the site has been added to the series).

Before asking the question : it's the first and the last mod I add here at the moment. So please don't make series mod request here or in the series forum. Thanks.

Don't make exceptions, reject it. If the runner abuse after a lot of rejects, tell his username to site staff

Agreed @MelonSlice, if the game has been added before two weeks Super Mods can delete it. Otherwise only Full mods and admins can do that.

Ask a full mod on Discord, they are very active

imo it's a bad idea, this thing will add more chars to the link (like https://speedrun.com/gamename#Category1#Subcategory1) and more long if the category has multiple variables set to "Subcategory"

Maybe this will be added if few other runners will run challenges

btw if challenges will be added, this thing can be set on IL leaderboards it’s better imo

For Newer DX same thing : If you want to run some extra categories, do a run and will add the category to the boards.

I'm not a runner of this game but I give my opinion about video proofs.

Videoless runs can be a good thing but the big problem with that for "popular" games is a lot of users submit a random time just to have a run on their profile, so fake, even if splits file are joined. Splits files only is not a notable proof.

Require video for all runs it's the better option, because firstly speedrun is more competitive than few years ago, and secondly, disallow runs without video will make the leaderboard more clean and serious. I think a lot of nsmb players are frustrated to see their time beated by other players without a video evidence.

Today I decided to leave the moderation of this game. Because this game is "dead" and I have anymore more motivation to run and moderate this game.

I hope the two last mods will be more active soon if at any time a run is submitted.

so if the category is Any% No Bombless (aka """""Glitchless""""" lmao) this category is useless because 90-95% of Any% runs on the main Leaderboard don't have the bombless trick (uuuhhh glitch sorry) except WR and maybe few other runs.

"no 5-4 skip" : Not a glitch as for me "no 556 (sorry fade)" : Not a glitch too, it's just the fastest cycle in 5-F. "no triple jump propeller to get up to the exit in 1-3" : Not a glitch. "no triple jump over lava pillar in 8-1" : Not a glitch, the lava pilar hitbox is permissive. "no bombless (LUL)" : Eventually if you want. "no fly over bowser in 1 section of bowser in 8-C" : Wait what ? Uhhhh not a glitch.
