Might be different depending on the game you're playing, but it's just a type of transition where one image is "wiped" over the other in a specific direction, like a vehicle wiper. It happens in film as well.

Alternatively, the verb "to wipe" may be referring to the death of the player, or the death of all enemies on the screen mentioned ("wiping them off the field").

As @Komrade suggests, these events are few and far between, meaning they're dealt on an individual basis with respect given to specific circumstances. lt's just uncommon.

It's also possible you accidentally switched to a different time comparison like best times instead of something that would reflect your personal best or previous run.

This was my first time learning a game, and while I was nowhere near top times at that point, I had a lot of fun. After many years of inactivity on my part, I'm once again far from the top—though only because others have carried on the baton, lowering the record.

My impression is that before arriving to speedrun.com, ELO already had their own preferred methods for contact/feedback/etc. (This is me hypothesizing with zero evidence, but we could see if ELO uses similar methods with its other websites).

In any case, it's easier to organize data through Google Forms than manually sorting through a long forum post; that's likely another factor.

@Oreo321 At the least, it could be smaller and flatter and maybe hide when it's blocking things like the textbox. The implementation of the banner is hardly perfect; on posts with a page select, the currently selected page shows up in front of the banner.

You'd be better off asking your friends to act. Since you aren't willing to pay for professional talent, you'll only have amateur actors, who'll need an incentive to participate, and friends will be more interested than the rest of us, who don't know what your game is about.

In the future, go to the appropriate leaderboard on the game's page, select Filter -> Obsoleted Runs -> Shown and look for your run.

The site moderators do not actively moderate the forums, so you wouldn't gain much by asking them. Most users aren't toxic here, and those that are get reported by other users via the Support Hub. Simple as that.
