^ This doesn't invalidate all the other reasons Twitch is a good streaming platform. I don't see this making many people switch, especially streamers themselves.
Joined the site after I felt like I wanted to speedrun, started using it frequently months later when I seriously started speedrunning.
Stayed because I still find speedrunning interesting, and do it. Plus I have games to moderate/tweak, and those forum posts aren't going to go unread under my watch.
@KevinDurden If you're already Super Moderator of the series, you can create new games which are part of that series by yourself.
@456Minecraft Be a moderator of the game first, then the Edit Game tab. Seeing as you currently don't moderate any games, you might need to contact a moderator.
- To see your splits over the game, go to Edit Layout -- the Layout tab -- check "Always on Top".
- LiveSplit only supports displaying up to hundreths of seconds. You can adjust the displayed accuracy of your timer/splits on their respective tabs in the Layout Settings (Edit Layout) after you add them as components to your layout.
- You can only start and stop the timer with perfect accuracy if your game has an autosplitter. If not, as is more likely, you'll have to manually press your split key at the right time.
Maybe it has something to do with how you recorded the video?
Been a while since I've played it, but Kero Blaster might be something to look at. It fits the requirements, though lots of mashing is required to improve.
What are you comparing against?
If you don't have a capture card/can't afford one, just record it with a phone/camera. Moderators generally understand circumstances.
They're (unfortunately) mistaken. To get console footage on your PC, you need a capture card. You can use those programs to record anything on your computer, but getting the footage there is the first step.
I've managed to save a minute in a run nearly ten minutes long, mostly through better execution. It feels good to have a strong run.
