Capture devices vary by the type of video output. For composite, you might want to look for a GV-USB2, which are a popular choice, and there's plenty of HDMI cards on the market. If you're not willing to commit to a purchase, setting up a video camera should do in the meantime.

Click your name -> Edit profile -> User picture

Add the source, then right-click the canvas and make sure it's not locked. Then you should be able to adjust borders via dragging or transformation options.

The built-in screen recorder is for all Apple smartphones running iOS 10 and up.

Perhaps you can record with a camera or a phone?
