No messages, but submitted bot advertising in a run...they're getting creative.

When you submit a run, there is a text box labeled Description. This is where the moderators for that game want to see the seed of the Minecraft world you played on, typed like "Seed: 4929216164286115443".
For guides, it appears that the title (as in the HTML title) duplicates the author name so that it appears in the form Guide by AuthorAuthor. Haven't seen it on anything not a guide yet.
Again, every game is different. Some long games allow you to pause the timer, which is called a Time Attack run (TA). Other games do not. Normal timing without pauses is called Real Time Attack (RTA).
This run is a TA run, so it was paused. This run is a RTA run, so it was not paused. In this game specifically, it was better to leave the game running always because it makes collecting a certain item faster.
Rules are different by game, there's no consistent rules that apply to every game. Most games don't allow pausing the timer. That would mean that any sleep breaks would occur while the timer is running.
I'm not sure you're using the .5 notation as designed. It's important in the SM64 run because it indicates when the A button is held during a level from its start, carried over from earlier in a run, but this is only used for an individual level context. When looking at the entire run, you wouldn't say that the final A press is only a half-press because you never let go of the controller, it would count as a full press. The 120 star A button challenge isn't said to have 18.5 presses to remove, it has 19. .5 is only ever used looking at individual levels, not full runs.
Honestly, streaming is one of the cheaper options, since you can use your Twitch account, turn on the save past broadcasts option in Twitch settings, stream, and acquire video on a computer. You could also use a phone or camera to record your TV if your game community allows it, or purchase an external HDMI capture card, though they aren't cheap.
Use a variable to indicate game version or the presence of certain routes.
Try sending a message to them in the site's Discord server.
Also, since Guinness' verification requirements are so stringent, I could see how that could conflict with moderation of existing categories.
Trying to BLJ up stairs, if you want to specifically reference SM64. Mind your ankles.
