United States@pepper22 You can speedrun anything, but not everything is tracked on this site. Because you want to speedrun a small goal in Minecraft, you'll want to go the the category extensions. Since this leaderboard does not have this category, you should ask for it on the forum.

I've been thinking about speedrunning Pocket Card Jockey one day, but it's a 3DS game, might be difficult to optimize, relies on RNG, and would have strange categories. It's a really fun game, though, and it's not on the site yet.
Besides, the closest thing we have to a "random" or "meme" forum tends to be Talk, not Speedrunning. This post was a little funny, though.
Sounds like a super tedious category that few people would run or watch. If you're serious, by all means, you should be the first to run it. Good luck!
I'm a purist; using percentages comes from numerical percentage categories, so that defines the tradition for me. I'm only half comfortable with using it to indicate specific goals, but it's better than attaching% a% percent% symbol% to% any noun%. This habit may come from the outside-in "global speedrunner culture" defined by popular content creators and their young fans. Credit where it's due, but to me it feels immature, as if these speedrun fans are more interested in "feeling like a speedrunner" than the reality of being a speedrunner. (Not that I don't do the same...) Meme categories get free passes because their names are designed to be funny, so juxtaposing nouns with percent symbols works.
On the topic of category names, thoughts on lowercase categories (any% as opposed to Any%)? I'm not a fan.
If you're asking if the site stores records for obscure 3DS games, search for specific games. Users can always request games to be added to the site. There will be users on the site who do play those games. I'd assume most speedrunners stick to speedruns, but there'll probably also be some users who work on other non-gaming records.
With the exception of a few games and conditions, your runs do not have to be livestreamed. Assuming your game request goes through (see @Timmiluvs ' post for adding a game) then you get to set the rules for your game.
It's important to consider that speedrunning is still a solo activity. When you stream, you're in control of your content; you're not speaking directly to other members of the community. Language rules make a little sense when the most important part of a community is communication, but with speedrunning, the most important part is the run of the video game.
It's mainly just the ability to bypass the typical game submission process and add new leaderboards as well. I wouldn't know of any advanced search methods, but if game series communities are large enough there tends to be a common Discord server, so that would also be a place to look.
As contradictory as it might seem, the purpose of series on the site is not to document every single video game series, but instead to provide a few extra settings to series which really need them. Due to the way the site is set up, series moderators have quite a lot of power which isn't helpful. Site moderators have been limiting the creation of new series and series moderators for a while now.
Yes. On most leaderboards, only a runner's fastest run is automatically shown. You can click Filter -> Obsoleted Runs -> Shown to see the slower runs.
