I did it! Low framerate makes it easier. I used the smoke on the car to make a low framerate and it made the trick possible. (ON Xbox)

So I was able to do the warp trick once on Xbox, not sure why though, my controller disconnected during the attempt. I was able to get the get into cover prompt in the car but could not activate the cover when leaving the vehicle. Looking at the video, the prompt stays on screen longer after you leave your car on the PS2 version rather than the Xbox version. My guess it has to do with lag/low framerate and the console taking longer to process everything.
