Is it a good idea to reset when your turn order is second against 1 AI? Usually I'll reset, but I'm not sure if it matters or not. Let me know what you guys think.
Are there any categories that I should add to the game? Let me know!
Can armed be added as a category? Voidless and lucky blocks are so I don't see why not.
So far I've only added US, UK, and any rules. Are there any specific rule sets that I just add, such as free parking? Let me know and I'll add them.
As you can clearly see from this video here there's a substantial difference in the time it takes to load depending on the device. To make timing more fair and accurate I will be changing when the timer starts from when "Start Game" is pressed to after the turn order has been decided, as this has no loading, and is right before the player gains control.
Also, I will be retiming all current runs with this in mind.
As the game is fairly new, it is still receiving updates that change the gameplay. Before this game was added to the site, there was no dice roll that decided who went first, and runs were able to be completed slightly faster. Now with the newest patch, AI will no longer take trades that will bankrupt them, making this guide outdated https://www.speedrun.com/monopoly2019/guide/pbxe7 . Because of these new changes, I will be making a rule that will now require runs to be played on the most recent version. This is a very easy process as all you need to do is open the settings from the main screen in the recording, which displays the version on the bottom-right corner. Check the rules to make sure it is on the most recent version before submitting a run. I'm still unsure whether I should keep the current runs, as some of them would be impossible to replicate on the newest update. I am open to suggestions in the replies.
In the game there is an option to choose your own custom rules. I was wondering if I should add these all individually, make specific combinations, or just leave them out entirely. Please give me your input.
I was thinking about a category where you beat the game start to finish without touching a coin. Not sure if this is possible but can we make it happen?
I was thinking about creating a new category where you have to get 100% of the achievements. I'm not sure if there are achievements on platforms besides the xbox, but can this be created?
