I used to play this game all the time as a kid on my moms old MacBook, I was very young and very bad at RPGs or strategy games, and yet despite all of this, I was still able to push my way through the game and saving my money to expand the story. I made it all the way to when Ratbeard joins your party.

I say all this to say that I haven't played the game in a long time, I'm thinking about running it though! And wanted to ask what the best class to play for speedrunning is?

I got it fairly consistently, surprisingly you can get it after the final death if you read the chats while doing your homework. Might make a guide soon about it but bottom line just be sure to read the chats every time you get the chance to.

It's been ages since I have run this game, however, in terms of the question at hand if optifine is aloud, the rules say " Cannot use anything outside of the scope of Minecraft itself." which I can only imagine means scripts, lag optimizers, or you guessed it, optifine.

I highly suggest that you join the discord and ask some more questions there, as well as reach out to me personally me and wr holder shwimpy would love to give you some tips on running, we both still speedrun random things in our freetime.

I came across this game and personally, I think I am going to try and run it! A few years ago I ran some games in the cooking mama franchise and love it, but was always shadowed by top runners in the scene.

Can't wait!

I'm asking because I really want to run any%, but don't know any glitches...

In terms of an actual legitimate leaderboard, I'm not too sure about that, if enough people on their own have run then it's bound to show up eventually. A few problems that I have run into that might hinder the existence of one anytime soon would be,

1. The entire run is based on how good one's internet is, this includes stuff like load times being annoying, and levels straight up not loading all the way because the game was rushed as heck to get out asap.

2. The game is constantly changing, leaderboards would have to update their runs constantly, and have 10s to 100s of different categories due to the game just adding more and more stuff.

3. And 3, the entire run is based on levels. So whoever has the highest level wins basically.

These are just my thoughts however, and could be wrong in the future but these are just things I've been thinking about, I would absolutely love to see something like this in the future though!
