Indiana, USAIn the rules it says: -Timer starts as soon as you enter first-person mode.
And: -Timer ends when SpongeBob touches the ground after being saved.
Yet, the second place run (Rybread's PB as of now), seems to not be timed like that. After retiming the run based on the current rules, it comes out to be a 4:48.
I was wondering if the retiming rules had changed and the rules were just not updated here, or if the run was retimed wrong?

I'm not the most informed on this topic, so I'm just gonna ask a quick question. If I get the twilight mod menu for my ds, and put the rom for this game in it, does that count as an emulator run or a ds run? It's technically an emulator, but it's still running on original hardware. It's just not the game on the cartridge.

I feel like we've grown enough to warrant a little server to start. And it'd be good to have just in case this run blows up ever. And chatting about speedrun stuff in the main server just feels wrong idk. Also it's so hard chatting with my fellow runners on SRC DMS
TUTORIAL TIME!!!
After you jump on the railing in the Ocean Level (which triggers the infinite speed glitch in the next stage), hit and hold the S, and D keys, after falling off (or ever so slightly before, test it a bit).
When the screen fades to black and the loading kart appears, switch to holding the A, and W keys. Keep holding those keys when you enter the stage, and spam jump until you're past the first pillar.
After picking up a bit of speed (and getting past the pillar), switch to holding the W, and D keys. Then you will need to make small adjustments (tapping A, while letting go of D), to actually make it cleanly into the entrance. I haven't gotten this completely consistent yet, but with other people helping this'll be a piece of cake. Let's get this run down to 2:59 people!
3:35!!! WR!!! Also I found a 'new' strat that could save upwards of 15+ seconds (if executed correctly.) It's just as rng as balloon level infinite speed glitch, but now you have to dodge pillars! Exciting!
Got 3:39 first attempt with balloon level skip! It was very slow so that's where all my timesave is
I'm going to start working on a simple little guide for the current route! A tutorial for every individual stage :D
this run is not played on the final demon version of the game, and should be moved to the 0.5 subcategory.
