Lol. Just wanted make things clear, I just want to prove something that I'm sure is right. Arguments only arise when I'm just decently sure about the truth~

No point in arguing, sorry about all of that. Please resubmit your run again so that I can reapprove it~

Just smashed my table when I saw the run back up, shrieked in the middle of 3 in the morning.

I'm glad stuff is resolved. Yes, do acknowledge debating skills may not be as 'conclusive', but, I'm sure we're all just kids, and in society, debating skills is what determines your guilt in court. That's just how reality works.

Thanks to everyone, and I mean everyone, for sparing their time in this discussion, I have definitely learnt a lot.

Just realised one thing.

While I'm proving my heart out already...

Did speedy use any proof to prove his rebuttals are legit?

All he's saying is that 'once a cheater, always a cheater'. 'You have a big yt channel so everyone likes you', and such. It's as if after his first comment, no matter how much we fully decode it and solved everything by providing literal past speedruns and even using my time to record a proof (not to mention how busy I am right now, as u guys can't see any videos posted for like 3 weeks), I'm just so disappointed that after his first post, everything he says is just not conclusive or having any standpoint.

As if we were students that are trying so so hard to get the assignments done, and the teacher just crumbles them up without even looking at them carefully, and throws them at the bin, ignoring the existence, and saying that the students did not do an enough job.

Luis_sm, we need you to be judgemental on this. We need someone actually caring about one's future, we need someone who actually has basic thinking skills, we need someone to determine right and wrong and where thus moderator shall belong.

So let me get this straight - If you want someone to prove that their runs aren't TASed, do they have to make it consistently happen?

I've done all I could, I don't see anyone else having to do these proofs, I consider myself generous. speeeeeeedy is now just being ridiculous and setting up impossible goals for me such that my runs could never get up under one condition - where speeeedy is still a mod.

Other moderators, consider removing his moderation, if you agree, if not, I can't stop you.

I use Microsoft Edge to play through the packaged project (because a lot of people use chrome and it overloads the server, causing lag, whereas nobody used microsoft edge)

I'm pretty sure that everything I can prove and everything I had to prove is perfectly finished. So, I expect my run to be up back on the podium just like any other non-malicious runs. Thank you.

Oh and yes, for autoclickers, as I think I said multiple times on my Discord - Yes, I do use it, but no, I don't. Let me explain.

First of all, let me start of by saying autoclickers is a perfectly fine strategy for any speedrunning games. Hope you all acknowledge that.

Second of all, setting up the autoclicker is not easy as I didn't pay for it. And also, it lags, as it's running in the background at like 120fps. Not only is it really bad for the computer, but actually lags the game for a bit, and thus also increasing my speedrun time. That's why, I only use it when I haven't touched the computer in a long time and such it runs smoothly, and I'll stop using it after twenty-something minutes.

For any%... I don't vividly remember if I used autoclicker or not, but I'm pretty sure as well I did not, which, even if I did, please do acknowledge that it's a perfectly fine strategy.

Here's the video - I'll explain the stuff, I guess.

Basically, I packaged it again and then opened the file and played through L3 twice for the menu transition.

The packaging is quite self-explanatory.

The reason I did two runs though**

  1. First one, I didn't spam click on 'CONTINUE', just to show that the project doesn't have any tweeks and works exactly like a normal Appel (even tho the next one is working exactly like a normal Appel as well)

  2. Second one, I did spam click on 'CONTINUE' just like the any% run, I'd say the clicking quite the same as the ones during any%. Note that this isn't from an autoclicker, but merely an around 8 clicks-per-second speed, in which an autoclicker is just honestly the same.

I also did quite some excessive movements, just to prove I'm not doing any shenanigans.

I'll even put the file I downloaded in this video as well right here.

Well as soon as I said that, I just realised speedrun.com doesn't allow it, so I'll just put it on google drive and put the link here >.< https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G1ihpCddwSbK3GCj3h-8ad5tFsEOCav0/view?usp=sharing

Hope that answers everything. Moderators, please go through these, thanks!

If a recording of myself packaging appel and showing the load time is all it takes to prove myself... then, yeah, why not. I'll do it!

Hong KongMichaelChan1 year ago

One more thing - You can't just say that I'm cheating, and then reject my runs. See what the people think, you are never capable to seeing if someone's correct (you, as in like anyone who reads upon this as well.)

Hong KongMichaelChan1 year ago

Thanks to all supporters, here's what I'm going to say.

  1. I'm not going to bother re-stating the past history.

I'm tired of explaining anything in the past, let's just focus on this run and this run only.

  1. Why does this happen?

I do not have the slightest idea - since I don't code. After seeing through the discussion, I'm pretty darn sure these reasons are why this is going on.

-> Hand position while playing.

This is, whatever, if this helps everyone on the long run.

Right hand on the keys, left hand spamming on the 'click' when almost reaching the flag. This is what causes the instantaneous loading.

-> Interpolation

I've stated many and many times that this is using interpolation. If you are literate and are willing to read the fking turbowarp discription that I stated more than enough times on interpolation, wou may see some graphical glitches on complex projects such as scrolling platformers. (Proof: https://docs.turbowarp.org/interpolation)

This is what I guess what happens - the transition TIMING is the exact same, but just it looks different. It may or may not fade away quicker, but appel would've delayed the movement until the original one catches up.

-> Appel packaging methods

Just like what TheGreatYo-Kai says - not all Appels run the same.

Don't think scratch is insane, or is we are insane. Try to make a game, where you detect the 'touching black color?' as the support for colliding with entities. Run this game on your phone - yep, the character would work perfectly on the computer, but not on your phone. Why? I don't know, maybe a different color scheme. Same goes for Griffpatch's Appel, in fact, if you take a look at his Appel videos, you can quite literally see that it's a different color for the tiles.

And yes, I do already acknowledged Centyme's legitimacy (well because he quite literally has no reason to cheat his own levels with actual deaths inside), and the reason is because he uses an iPad. The position methods of Griffpatch is merely incompatible with an iPad's resolutions, and such does not allow it to position it correctly and time goes on - which also means it has 'degrading'. Simply put, it could look perfect at the start, but the more you play, the more weirder it gets (and well, we can tell that Centyme has spent a lot of time.

Now, back to my case - What I believe causes such 'observable' differences is the Appel packaging method. Why do you think I'm doing this? Rather simple.

Original Appel on Turbowarp runs with wifi, causes latency, or lag, simply put. By separating it from onlineness, I can quite play it freely, without any connections, but only relying on my computer - which is perfectly enough to run a highly complex Scratch project. What I believe, is that packaging causes this, may or may not - I can't say anything about it because I don't know how packaging works, but these are all I know.

  1. Further Proof (Thanks TheGreatYoKai!!!)

His proof of my livestream is exactly what I needed to clarify myself - It quite literally happened with it, on a livestream, unintentionally. Mhm, how could I video edit that then.

And if you're extreme, crazily thinking that I'm just lying on my entire career by uploading a video to a livestream format - welp, no, wrong there, I do what the chat practically tells me to do.

At the end of the day, Scratch is not made to run such complexity. Complexity in literature, known as developing autonomous morality, should be tolerated at this case, whether we decode one's intentions or not. If it's clear I'm only trying to instil values and develop global skills and strategies together, making my only competitor myself - Do you think I'm an evil cheater, or just innocent, your choice. I do not want a defective game to be the foundation of the breakability of such chains.

Interpolation doesn't affect the gameplay (or at least how inputs affect the gameplay), but that section can be made easier and more lenient by getting momentum to the right (I didn't bonk at the top of that wall, very lucky)

Well actually - it didn't take a few days, I'm also still quite bad at it. I actually knew about the trick like way before, but I never dared to implement it. But seeing swskrei utilize this alerts me that this trick is mandatory.
