All the checkpoint restarts to skip dialogue should work on console.
Most of the loads in the game are during cutscenes which the game is full of so if PC is faster than console its not by enough to warrent a new category imo.
You can recreate the last one but its hard, as for the other 2 they are pretty useless, skips are possible in some places but you need to find a way to clip either with each other or by yourself.
By all means you can run crushing, but there wont be a category added for it specifically.
Just add all the glitch videos in this forum post and ill make it sticky
I say just make story mode the norm for running any%, no need for another category.. as for 100%, if the new collectibles are only on "story mode" then just make running 100% on normal as the default, but if the extra 2 collectibles are on all difficulties well then that causes some problems.
The whole reason why im saying it should end on the credits is because Leo's ending is faster to the credits which is where the game actually ends, but in the case of ending the timer on the Handshake then Vincent's ending would be faster but the game does not end when you do the handshake, it ends when the credits begin. So from a logical point of view it should end on the credits for this game in paticular.
There is nothing from stopping you from timing it your way bud, just remember to leave in the final cutscene to the start of the credits so i can retime it to fit the leaderboard timing :D
You literally said "but up to you guys" in reference to the timing, yet apparently it really isn't is it, just because you dont want to watch the final cutscene? If there wasnt multiple endings then i would be all for ending the timer on the handshake, but like i said, with the 2 endings its different, Vincent's ending gets the handshake sooner.... but his ending is slower to the credits meaning if somebody DOES Leo's ending then their run will be slower.... BUT their run is faster to the credits, and the game ENDS at the credits, There is no difference in timing for the credits themselves so that doesn't matter. I'm trying to make it fair for each ending by having it end at the credits because that is where the game actually ends, not at the handshake.
So do i, i prefer when it ends on the last input aswell, but for this game inpaticular it just doesn't make sense to do so.
And if somebody does vincents ending to the credits, well then you can't really argue because that is technically where the game actually ends... you see what im saying?
We started using the handshake to time it at first, and frankly i prefer it, it makes the final split seem more impactful, but it just doesn't work well, for the fact that lets say somebody does a run and its vincents ending, and vincents ending is faster to the handshake, but somebody else did leo's ending ending which is slower to the handshake but faster to the credits... so it makes more sense to do leo's ending and have the timer end at the credits.
But the timing is different between endings whether you end it on the handshake or not, and leo's ending to the credits is the fastest. Also the game is pretty much mostly cutscenes anyway, so whats the difference between sitting there waiting for the credits when you have had to sit there waiting for cutscenes to end for the majority of the game anyway?
It has nothing to do with how popular you are as a runner, its always been first come first serve, as for regarding the timing rules, i have updated the Any% rules to reflect what we think the timing rules should be.
