I was going to speedrun Mario Kart 64 on the Mushroom Cup with no skips. And I realize in the rules, it says "Only times done on the original N64 console are allowed.". Thinking that the emulators were banned for this run. I do not have a N64 console and the game for it. So is it banned?

I was speedrunning Super Mario 64 - 16 Stars on my emulator and I was taking a different route. (Didn't got the whole run though) Because I'm bad at cannonless strat on Blast Away The Wall. So I was wondering if this is allowed in the run?
