New York, USAReset Skip is a general name used for any setup on an island that allows you to reset, and either retain some items or skip a certain portion of the island. This saves time because you don't need to get those items or do that part of the island. The performance is different for the different islands. There should be instructions for some of them in the guides. Otherwise, pm Jason, who I believe runs and discovered most of them.
You don't have to be great to do a speedrun. It's perfectly fine to speedrun a game when you think you can never be as good as the top players. The important thing is to enjoy doing it. Pick a game you won't get sick of. Mario Kart Wii would probably be a good one if you grew up on it. But it's really up to you.

There should've been a reason provided. If there wasn't then you probably didn't provide enough evidence that this would be a good game. This often happens if you don't record a long enough video with your submission.
I populated the boards for Game Show, Wild West, and Survival and none of them have been beaten yet. I think your only competition would be me.

I just snagged a WR back in a game I run, and now have all 12 1P IL WRs. Admittedly some are uncontested but it still feels good.
Whenever it happens I just refresh the page and more often than not it's fine. I don't find it that much of an inconvenience.
Without knowing the game, what you have looks pretty good. I might suggest having a rule regarding video requirement, even if only for runs under such-and-such a time. Be prepared to find glitches and have to decide which of them are allowed in what categories, or if you need to make a separate glitched category.

I believe Goldeneye and the other Bond/007 games go by in game timer, but I also don't know if a screenshot is considered proof there as I don't run them.
